  I went in today because the contact lenses prescribed at my February eye exam appointment were no longer working well for me. The doctor spoke with me briefly and gave me trial lenses from two different brands to try at home. I did not have an eye exam or try on any lenses during the appointment. After waiting about 20 minutes to check out, I was told I owed $85 for an “eye exam.” When I explained that I hadn’t had one, I was then told the charge was for a contact lens refitting. I tried to explain what had happened during the visit, even though I didn’t need to, she was right there the whole time and knew exactly what my appointment consisted of. But the front desk staff member continued to argue with me. Thankfully, the doctor overheard us, came out, and confirmed that I owed nothing. I appreciated the doctor clearing it up, but if I hadn’t questioned what the charge was for, they would’ve scammed me of $85!! The staff member looked mad after the charge was removed and rolled her eyes. I had to argue against a charge that should have been clarified before I was asked to pay it. Will be going elsewhere for my eye exams from now on!

  Convenient location just across from food court in Columbia Mall. Staff members (including doc) are helpful and efficient. I have been going to this office/ store for at least a decade, and have always had great experiences.
