  My experience at Pearle Vission was great from being immediately greeted as I walked into the store I felt comfortable. The doctor was very nice she explained my eye exam thoroughly. I highly recommend if anyone needing an eye exam or getting glasses go to the Pearle Vision at the Columbia Mall at Little Patuxent Parkway. Elisa was also great she made my buying experience very easy and I am happy with my purchase!!! When I went to pick up my glasses Syuzanna is a great asset to the store, she had me try them on and made sure that I was comfortable with them which 100% I am!!!, I will definitely go back for a second pair!!!!!

  I received excellent service at the Pearl Vision in Columbia Mall. Everyone was very professional and personal. The service was exceptional. Warm, friendly environment with warm friendly customer service. Highly recommended. Syuzanna was excellent. Kudos to her.

  The staff at the shop are all very warm and welcoming. I was acknowledged as soon as I entered by Syuzanna. I wasn't sure if I had vision insurance, but she researched & found out I do in fact & we made an appointment for an exam. They have an excellent array of glasses from many brands to suit all budgets - I was impressed! They even fixed an older pair I had from a competitor so I can use them until my new pair arrives...just super helpful & caring - the customer service was top notch!

  Didn’t have a great experience. When I first walked in the front desk receptionist wasn’t very friendly. As well, she told me my insurance wasn’t accepted there. I reminded her that I called weeks beforehand and spoke with someone on the phone specifically getting confirmation my insurance would be accepted, and they said it was, as I do this routinely with appointments. 5 minutes later she apologized and said it actually was accepted and there was a glitch in the system. That brought about some anxiety. When I went in for my screening, the lady doing it was friendly enough, but I could not understand her, as her accent was very thick. I genuinely was unsure of 70% of what she was saying, and not sure I gave correct responses because of that, which could have affected my results/prescription. I felt rushed through the screening, because she was talking fast and flipping from screen to screen too quickly. My eyes didn’t have time to adjust, to relay which screen felt worse or better. When I asked her if it was possible to slow down, she didn’t really, and the same speed continued. Between that, and the language barrier, I had to kind of do my best or guess on the answers. I am still unsure if I was even given the correct prescription due to this. The screening probably took 5 minutes… 10 min tops. It kind of felt like they were wanting to get people in and out. I’ve never had a screening that rushed at any eye doctor. The next lady I met who was picking out my glasses and finishing up the appointment, also had an extremely thick accent. Again I could not understand majority of what she was relaying. From what I did understand, she was knowledgeable and pleasant enough but she kept continuously pushing I buy a new pair of glasses since “insurance covers it.” I kept informing her I did not want a new pair, I already have two pairs and just wanted to get the ones I have fixed. She continued to push several times, and looked at me kind of with the “are you serious” face. As if I was making a big mistake to not take advantage of the insurance coverage and get a 3rd pair of glasses, I did not need. Due to feeling pressured and obligated, I tried on a few glasses, but stuck to my decision not to proceed. I paid the amount to get my prescription renewed on my old glasses, and left this facility, a bit frustrated. It wasn’t a terrible experience, could have been worse, nonetheless it was not good. I don’t believe I would ever return. It was pretty disappointing. The eye doctor I went to last year was in Gaithersburg, MD - Montgomery village. They were much more personable, patient, kinder, and I was able to understand the treatment plan with no language barrier. I preferred the convenience of the Columbia location, but next year I will have to take the drive.
