  I came in today as a guest on a free pass since I just started working in the area. I called earlier in the day to get some basic details, in which the young man on the phone was helpful. I can’t think of his name but I think it started with a J. Once I arrived is when I was very displeased. The young lady at the front, whose name I didn’t get but she was young with blonde highlights — she was pleasant during my check in BUT I was not offered a tour which would have been professional and helpful given it was my first visit. Especially since I seen others getting tours! I was also not advised to speak to anyone else in reference to any further interest in the gym. I also didn’t have reliable service in the lower level which isn’t a deal breaker especially if they have WiFi (which I would know if I was given a full run down of the gym) On my exit, the same young lady at the front gave me my ID back but instead of politely handing it to me in my hand she slid it on the counter and I hate that. I’ve been in customer service for over 10 years and it’s so rude. I will not be joining the gym because of this first experience.

  We joined Onelife Fitness while receiving treatment at Johns Hopkins over the course of 2 months. The things we love about the facility start with super friendly staff always looking to please the members. We’ve been to many clubs over the years and by far Onelife is the most organized and tidy facility. Do love the way different zones set up for cardio, strength and functional exercises. Even when things are busy there is plenty of room for workouts on two spacious floors!

  The place is clean, but the staff came up with extra fees without any previous notification or email to the members. They charged us an extra fee for a towel that, as far as I remember, we returned, but somehow they claimed one towel was missing. I’ve had a much better experience at other gyms, especially Onelife Fitness in Clinton, Maryland, which is part of the same gym company. When my license was left at Onelife Fitness Clinton, MD, the staff immediately notified me before I even left the premises. At this gym, my license was also left behind, but I was never notified. It wasn’t until we called several restaurants, other venues we had visited, and finally the gym itself, that they informed us they had it. Thankfully, they kept it safe until I was able to recover it. The extra guest fees were $16 + $8 = $24. If you bring guests, be mindful of these additional charges that may occur at this location.
