- B1beats 1997Jun 8, 20261.0I understand how hard the employees work for this health system. But the attitudes the unprofessional nurses poor bed side manor inappropriate conversations at nurses station makes me sad for the eastern shore of maryland. We went from a decent hospital to a hell hole and unfortunately it's the only option. Let's pray that the new facility being built will actually hire compasonite employees.
- PPPatrickJan 10, 20265.0On February 24, 2026, I experienced severe respiratory distress and lost consciousness before arriving at the hospital. I don’t remember everything that happened, but I do know this: I woke up alive. I was treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care by both Dorchester EMS and the team at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center. Every staff member I encountered from the Doctors, nurses and technicians, they treated me as a person, not just a patient. They explained what happened & what was happening, monitored me closely, and made sure I was safe during my treatment. When you wake up after something like that, you realize how much you depend on the professionalism and compassion of others around you. I am deeply grateful to the people who were there for me that day, throughout my recovery and release. Thank you all for doing what you do 🙏 I am grateful for all of you, I know I would not still be here without you.
