- KAKing AApr 21, 20261.0I’ve been a member at Gold’s Gym Bowie Fairwood for almost 3 years, paying $35 every month, and honestly this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. The staff at the front desk were completely unprofessional, rude, and showed a very biased attitude. One employee refused to check me in because I forgot my barcode, saying I had to pay $10 every time I forget it. That makes no sense when they can easily look up my membership using my phone number — something they’ve done before. What made it worse was the inconsistency. While I was standing there trying to cancel my membership because of this situation, the manager allowed two other people to check in using just their phone numbers without saying anything about a barcode. That clearly shows unfair treatment and poor management. After being a loyal member for years, this is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this location to anyone expecting professionalism or respectful service.
- RARobert AmatucciApr 21, 20261.0A Gym is supposed to be a place dedicated to health , yet during the 2020-2022 they forced customers to wear masks, which limits oxygen, and is highly dangerous to people , especially those who are exercising, sweating, getting that sweat on their mask thus clogging the mask too. Surprised people didn't faint every hour. Kept sending me notifications for their "compell" classes too way after i canceled my membership.

For a facility dedicated to health, it feels like the focus on profitability is starting to overshadow member well-being. Dirty fans, a cold atmosphere in freezing weather, and a questionable HVAC system all contribute to whether members stay healthy enough to keep coming back. Please consider updating or thoroughly cleaning the HVAC system and building maintenance into the operating costs. It matters. Other than the risk of frostbite (which I say only slightly joking), this gym has many great qualities and addressing this issue would greatly increase member satisfaction and safety. Happy holidays.
