The personnel are nice and professional. That is the only good thing about this place. Equipment is old. Not enough variety of equipment. Poor airflow in building. It is very humid in here. This is genuinely the worst gym I’ve ever been too. I’d only recommend going here if you have no other option/if you can’t afford Equinox. This is my only option which is why I go. I genuinely hate this place. This place costs $80 a month and it is genuinely over priced. This place is worth $20 at best.

I have been going to Onelife Fitness in Bethesda for about two months now. All the staff I've had contact with are friendly and knowledgeable. If they can't answer a question then they direct me to someone who can, I really appreciate that they care. I tore my meniscus and had to have surgery about a year ago so I decided to sign up for semi-private personal training sessions. Without knowing any of the trainers I selected a random one from the booking site and it has been great. Calvin is amazing, he has helped me fix my form while pushing me to be better. I would 100% recommend Onelife Fitness- Bethesda. Every Fitness level is welcomed with positive feedback and encouragement. They are conveniently located a short walk from the Bethesda Metro Station or on the M70/M22 bus line.

I’ve been working with Kwesi for 3 months and can’t recommend him enough. He’s incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and he’s built a program specifically to strengthen my knees and joints — something that matters a lot to me since I’m an avid pickleball player. He explains the “why” behind each exercise, adjusts when something doesn’t feel right, and keeps sessions engaging rather than just running through a checklist. I’ve noticed real improvement in my strength and stability. If you’re looking for a trainer who genuinely listens and tailors his approach to your body and goals, Kwesi is excellent.

I went to this gym throughout high school and college and it was great. Lots of room, the Staff were extremely kind, and all sorts of amenities. The basketball court is a great perk as well.

I’ve bounced around a handful of gyms over the years, and one thing I didn’t realize I was missing until coming here was just having space. So many gyms try to cram as much equipment as possible onto the floor, and even if they’re not packed, they feel crowded. OneLife is the opposite—the layout is wide open, and even during the evening rush it never feels like you’re constantly weaving around people or waiting for room to do your workout. I’ve also noticed I almost never have to change my workout because a machine is broken or the free weights are scattered all over the place. The gym is consistently clean and well organized, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think. Another thing that stands out is the staff. They actually seem to know the regulars. I’ve had people remember my name, ask how an injury was doing, or just say they hadn’t seen me in a while. Those little interactions make it feel like more than just another chain gym. The fitness director has been awesome as well—genuinely invested in making the gym a better place rather than just pushing memberships. Overall, it’s just a really well-run gym with a great atmosphere, and I’m glad I made the switch.
