  My mom had tried to have a knee ablation procedure done 2 years ago. It was aborted mid-procedure because she had never been told to take her cardiac meds beforehand and her BP was elevated. Flash forward 2 years: We scheduled with Dr. Bassi for a repeat attempt at a knee ablation last month. She went to see him twice to get the procedure scheduled. At the first appointment, we checked in and filled out paperwork. We sat for well over an hour and were only seen after questioning the front desk staff. The doctor had never been notified of our arrival! At the second visit, she had to have a cortisone shot to prove to the insurance company that an ablation was needed. We scheduled the procedure and within 24 hours we were notified that although Dr. Bassi accepts her insurance, the only surgery center that he participates with does NOT! Why did we go through all of that if the office knew that her insurance would be rejected. I then asked for a referral to another provider and also wanted to know what the out of pocket cost would be for the procedure. No one ever reached out to me with any answers. My mother is 91 and I drive from Pennsylvania to take her to her appointments. This is not acceptable! I will say that Dr. Bassi is very personable, but the office definitely needs to revisit their procedures and patient care standards.

  Had a THR on my right hip in early May. Walking is back to normal and pain is virtually gone. Dr. Raj explained the entire procedure before hand and everything went smoothly. At the hospital at 5:30, surgery started after 7, finished at 10, was up and walking with a walker by noon and home by 3pm. PT was in my home and I restrictions have been released. Slight pain very infrequently, but that seems to be on days when I am close to 20K steps.

  I can’t thank Dr. Raj Yalamanchili enough for everything he has done for me. I had a major Achilles tendon surgery, and thanks to his incredible skill, professionalism, and care, I am now able to walk without any problems and enjoy my life again.
