  Staff is very nice and helpful and do tend to things that need attention, with that said my experience with Dr. Patel has been mostly unpleasant. Every appointment I’ve had with him he questions me about my diagnosis with Lyme Disease and co-infections, because he’s “skeptical of its legitimacy”. I don’t come here for opinions on topics he has no knowledge or education about, I go to people that actually study this field to help me treat the ailments I’ve been dealing with for 4 plus years. By the end of these appointments we’ll touch the topic of my progress in my sleep apnea treatment and then that’s it. Also to mention I have strong reason to believe that someone at the clinic or Dr. Patel himself reported me to the MVA about cpap usage, something I’ve been struggling with and had talked about to him and other staff before, this struggle mostly stems from my Lyme disease, and it has now been making my experience with Lyme more of a pain, with the MVA constantly on my case. Why I believe this to be the case is because I have never made my diagnosis with sleep apnea public to anyone, so the only logical conclusion would be that someone here reported on my behalf without my knowledge or permission. I TRULY recommend you find another clinic or pray you don’t have Doctor Patel as your care taker, he’s been nothing more than a pain in the side.

  Long wait time to see a Doctor, staff is very unhelpful and takes forever to respond to messages. Can never call the office and speak to someone there, you have to go through UMMS customer service. I am switching offices. Very unprofessional.

  I had an excellent experience with Dr. Patel and the entire team at Upper Chesapeake Pulmonary Care. From Kristi at the front desk, to Becca, the respiratory therapist, and Dr. Patel, everyone was kind, professional, and attentive. Dr. Patel quickly assessed my condition, provided a clear diagnosis, and gave me the answers I needed to move forward with reassurance. I truly appreciate the exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism shown by the entire staff. Thank you all!
