Patrick at the Harris Teeter Pharmacy went above and beyond to help me when I had some issues at Target pharmacy . His kindness and helpfulness stood out, and it’s rare to find that level of care these days. I won’t use any other pharmacy now—Patrick has earned my loyalty!

I do not like giving poor reviews but I feel it is important to give constructive feedback in order for improvement. I was prescribed ciprodex ear drops for a bad ear infection bilaterally. My normal pharmacy, CVS, didn’t have the medication and the cost would’ve been $90 on Good Rx. I saw that on Good Rx Harris Teeter would have the medication for $65. When I called Harris Teeter Pharmacy about having my prescription from CVS sent to Harris Teeter they said it would take 24-48 hours. I said ok and was informed I would get a text message. I called roughly after 24 hours asking for an update, the pharmacist or technician who answered said because no one picked up the phone from CVS she never got it sent over. I was surprised no one informed me since I was under the impression that it was getting filled. In addition I was having fever/chills and needed the prescription sooner the better. I called CVS pharmacy and someone picked up and they were able to send it over immediately. I went to Harris teeter and used Good Rx so my prescription instead of $220 was $65. Due to having an infection in my ears bilaterally, the volume of the drops only lasted for 4 days instead of the recommended 7 days. I was still having some lingering symptoms and was recommended to have the ciprodex ear drops re prescribed to finish the course of therapy for the still affected ear. I had the ciprodex sent to Harris teeter. I had to work on Saturday, and rushed to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. I expected to use Good Rx as I did last time. The time was roughly 5:52 pm and no one else was in line just me. The individual who I presume is a pharmacist due to the white coat informed me they could not accept Good Rx due to the difference in price that Harris teeter purchased it for. She informed me that Harris teeter purchased it for $70 something dollars and the good Rx prescription needed to be within $5 of the price so it wouldn’t be too much of a loss to Harris teeter. She said since $64 was too low she couldn’t honor my coupon. She couldn’t give me the $70 something price, she could only give me the $130 price. I was getting a bit emotional since I was still having ear symptoms which has been affected my day to day activities and was looking forward to completing my treatment regimen. I began to look up Walgreen pharmacies around me so that the prescription could be sent there. She told me because it is too late she could not help me and told me to call tomorrow at 11. I am in the medical field, and understand that insurance costs and meds are out of our control. However, I felt disappointed that this individual didn’t try to help me or advocate for me by helping me send the prescription over even though it was before 6pm, their closing time and could see that I was in need of this medication. I felt she was dismissive about the situation and didn’t provide any helpful options except for giving me the $130 price. I went to Walgreens and asked them about accepting Good Rx- they said of course they did. I hope that in the future even when they can’t honor coupons they try to help by calling other pharmacies or help figure out alternatives.
