Counseling & Support
We offer extensive counseling and support services to meet your needs, whether your loved one has just received a serious or life-limiting diagnosis or is already receiving our care. Our counselors are available to provide emotional support before and after a loss through one-on-one grief counseling, support groups and remembrance events. And our trained volunteers provide additional support through assistance with errands, companionship and respite for families. If you are not sure what services you need, our care navigators are available to answer your questions and connect you to resources that can help.
Elder Medical Care
Older individuals living with serious illnesses often find themselves in an unending cycle of health crises that lead from home to the hospital to rehabilitation and back home again. Gilchrist’s team of physicians, nurse practitioners and social workers are experts in providing coordinated geriatric and comfort care, and guidance to improve quality of life. We help ensure that those who often fall through the cracks of the health care system—those who have difficulty traveling to office appointments and for whom treatment is becoming less effective—receive the care and attention they need when and where they need it.

The best place! My father was here during his last few months and his care team was so good! The nurses and aides were so attentive and supportive of him and our family as well. Even the caseworker and the chapel were so helpful and gracious. Thank you and I’m grateful for their services! ❤️

I would like to take a moment to thank the entire Gilchrist Hospice team for the exceptional care they provided to my father during his time on home hospice.
From the intake process to the final nurse who came to my home and compassionately pronounced my father's passing, every person we encountered was kind, professional, and caring. A special thank you to Sierra, Krista, Crystal, Angel, Tyra and Daquan and everyone else who played a role in my father's care. I sincerely apologize that I cannot remember the name of the nurse who came on May 30, 2026, and pronounced my father's death at 9:55 a.m., but please know that your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
Thank you for treating my father with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. You never treated him like a number or just another patient. You treated him like a person, and that meant the world to our family during one of the most difficult times of our lives.
Please continue the amazing work that you do. You are truly a blessing to families in need, and your dedication does not go unnoticed.

I can't say enough bad things about Gilchrist Hospice. It took almost a week before we had a nurse or aide reach out to us after her intake. Luckily, we had private aides coming in to assist us in taking care of our mom at home. Our biggest issue was when the time we needed her most, when she passed, THEY REFUSED TO COME OUT AND CALL HER PASSING. It was a few hours after we got a lot of snow, and the nurse told us they wouldn't come out and we would get a call back from a physician. Never got a call back. The funeral home pick up attendants were the only people that showed up. They didn't even call ems to come call her death. We still aren't sure who called it, or signed the death certificate. It took 3 days for ANYONE from Gilchrist to contact us (a social worker, not even a medical professional). They are a travesty. People are in an extreme emotional state at that time, and they let us all down. They left us unsure what do for 3 hours sitting here not sure if someone was coming, which they didn't.
