I have been going to this gym for a few months. Overall, it’s fine.
I’m writing this review to talk about one of the personal trainer’s approach to machine use.
On 6/18/2026, if you want to check the cameras, cause I genuinely can’t make this up.
I arrived around 6:40 a.m. and observed the trainer occupying the only Smith machine until approximately 7:26 a.m.
During that time, his client spent significant portions of the session using other equipment, including the leg press, free weights, a sit-up machine, and floor exercises on a mat.
The Smith machine itself sat unused for long stretches, but it remained claimed with weights left on it so that the client could return to it periodically between other exercises.
I understand that trainers need to structure workouts for their clients, but there has to be a more efficient and considerate way to do so.
Members pay to have access to the gym's equipment, and when there is only one Smith machine available, having it reserved for nearly an hour creates unnecessary frustration for everyone else.
If this is an accepted practice at the gym, consider providing dedicated equipment for trainers and their clients.
This is a pattern, not a one off. I have talked to front desk before today.
I feel compelled to leave a review about this, maybe that might prompt a change?

The sense of community at this location is truly special, and so much of that comes from the staff. I wanted to give a few specific people kudos — my favorite spin instructor, Angela Tsetsis, is absolutely amazing. Her energy is contagious and she always makes me feel genuinely welcomed and excited to be in class.
My trainer, Melanie Humeniuk, has been wonderful to work with and has made a huge positive impact on my fitness journey. She encourages me, challenges me, and never lets me take the easy way out (even when I really want to lol).
I also want to recognize Austin, the manager, for running such a clean, welcoming club environment. He consistently remembers me, greets me by name, and takes the time to ask how I’m doing, which makes the gym feel personal and supportive. Additionally, Andrew Kim, the fitness manager and former trainer of mine, has played a huge role in keeping me at the gym through various transitions over the years. His support and encouragement have meant a lot to me.
Before joining this gym, I lived a pretty sedentary lifestyle. Now, I am a much happier, active, fit person, and that transformation has meant more to me than I can fully express. I love this gym and the community the team has created. It’s clear that the BB Rotunda team takes pride not only in the facility itself, but in building real relationships with members.
Thank you to the team for fostering such a positive environment and for having such an exceptional team!!

I visited this gym a few months ago when I was looking to try out a new spot to workout. I was actually highly considering a yearly membership with this gym and drove all the way from downtown to check it out, but after I expressed to the manager at the end of the tour that I was under the age of 25, his entire demeanor changed and he said I wasn't allowed the full 7-day trial that I came in for.
I was told that the reason those under 25 can't have a trial is because "college students take advantage of the free week," but don't they know not everyone under 25 is in college? Did y'all know that? Or are you new to Earth?
I was given only two days to try everything out instead of the 7 advertised online. That's not enough time to test everything they have to offer (which is a lot!) or get a sense of if I'd actually make use of all of their amenities or if I'm better off somewhere a bit cheaper. Also, their memberships are very expensive and come with all sorts of extra fees, so obviously I'd want to make sure I'll actually use the gym and get my money's worth.
They charge a random $49/year for "maintenance," as if that isn't their job to begin with. If I wanted to contribute towards maintenance I'd have a home gym. Enrollment fee is over $150. Ridiculous. Like really? $150 so you can watch me type my info into the computer? How about pay me $150 since I'm the one typing it. And then $52/month just to use the gym, plus an entire extra billing if you want to cancel.
ATP members are paying the rent for the location, the cost of the machines, and the wages of anyone who works there. Good for the owner! Truly passive income for him. I bet they charge the employees the cost of the machine they use to clock in with. I will never purchase a membership here and I'm going to recommend all of my college friends take advantage of the free week. I'll give my money to Crunch Fitness. Thanks.
A few months ago I would've given this gym 5 stars but not as we get to the end of February 2026. There are a lot of reasons why: 1. The gym can't handle all the new members; it's too crowded. 2. As a result equipment is breaking and not getting fixed. It's been at least a month on the pec fly machine. Fix it. 3. There aren't enough cardio machines. 3 of the 5 good Precor elliptical machines have been broken for at least a month. 4. Why can't they close the doors during aerobics class? I'm tired of listening to the instructors screech their instructions over music that disrupts the rest of the gym. 5. Ban videoing. Why are people allowed to video themselves at peak hours (or at all)? I don't want to be in somebody's video and I shouldn't have to confront them. Haver staff stop it--maybe walk the floor every so often. 6. Walk the floor and tell people to remove their bags. They take up space and it's dangerous. Again, we shouldn't have to police this. Here are some other general complaints: 1. The dumbbell area is too small. Move the racks of fixed barbells in the dumbbell area. Move them to the edge/side and there will be room for two more benches. Or put some dumbbells upstairs. Move the preacher curl bench closer to the fixed barbells and in front of a mirror so I can see myself. Move the Smith machine and create more room for dumbbells/ preacher bench/fixed barbells. Move the Smith machine to the other room downstairs and put it where the rowing machines are and move them to upstairs.
Congrats on the new cycling machines. 30 machines couldn't have been cheap. Only problem is it's the same people using them each class. You spent a lot of money to make the same 30+people happy, while the rest of the gym is failing.
