Absolutely appalling customer service. I have never had a worse experience with an indoor cycling studio. I’ve been to multiple cycling studios, and I have never encountered anything like this. I was charged $27 for a class and then subjected to an additional $50 cancellation/late fee. The studio cited its cancellation policy, but the way this was communicated and handled was incredibly frustrating. What is especially unacceptable is that I was apparently allowed to accrue this $50 charge without any meaningful communication from the company. I was only contacted after the fee had already reached $50. I then logged into my account expecting to be able to see the charge and pay it. Instead, there was no obvious way to pay the balance through the website, and I could not find a receipt or clear billing record associated with the charge. So I called the billing department to try to resolve the situation. Even after going through the trouble of contacting them directly, I still could not get a clear answer or a straightforward way to pay the balance. The only communication that was crystal clear was essentially: pay the $50. This is an incredibly poor way to treat customers. If you are going to charge someone a substantial cancellation fee, there should at minimum be clear notice, transparent billing, an accessible record of the charge, and an actual way to pay it through the customer’s account. None of that was apparent to me. The entire experience felt unnecessarily adversarial over a $50 fee that should have been straightforward to explain and resolve. Instead of leaving me wanting to come back and take more classes, this experience completely destroyed my confidence in the studio. I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone considering booking here to read the cancellation policy extremely carefully and make sure you understand how fees are charged and collected. A business can have whatever cancellation policy it chooses, but customers deserve transparency and competent support when that policy results in a charge. For me, the $50 fee was frustrating. The complete lack of transparency and customer support was what ultimately lost my business.

First time here, instructors and front staff were super friendly and the class was really fun! If I had to give any feedback it would just be the waiting area feels tight and there aren’t enough benches for people to sit and put on their shoes all together Apart from this will certainly be back

Since getting my spin back on, the Cycle Bar has been sublime! The staff, instructors and rides have been a blast! More decades for music! I’m old! 😂

I really like it here. The staff is kind and attentive. It’s reasonably priced and a good workout. HOWEVER, I have figured out that other than Kat, I’m not a fan of anyone else’s music, so it’s getting harder and harder to stay motivated to attend classes. More specifically, I didn’t find it fair when Kat’s country ride was rescheduled from Saturday at noon to a Wednesday at 5:15, which I’m still at work during. I was bummed when that got pushed back because I knew she was going to be playing a lot of Luke Combs. Also, I woke up early on a Saturday (which I rarely do lol) to go to a classic rock class. I know hundreds of classic rock songs and tons of artists from the rock era. I knew maybe 2 songs that were played during that class. I just find myself sitting in the classes telling myself “I don’t know this song either” and waiting for the class to end. That makes the classes feel so much longer. Kat plays some of those 2010s pop hits. Our schedules just haven’t been lining up lately, and at the moment, her classes are the only ones I sign up for early on. I really don’t understand why spin instructors at every place out there don’t just play the likes of Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Pink, Katy Perry, Pitbull, Rihanna, you get the point. I’d be a good spin instructor for my music alone haha (but pls don’t make me run a class I still can’t stay on beat 100% of the time). And for the classic rock guitar ride, I would’ve liked some Springsteen, Eagles, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Bon Jovi, and so on. That, to me, is classic rock. I’m not taking a star off my review for this, but I would really like management to be aware that this is happening. And I promise you this is not the only spin place that is hit or miss on instructor music. That’s literally everywhere. But this is my local spot and I don’t really have or even want other options.

Overall, I’ve had a really good experience at CycleBar Assembly Row. The studio has a great, high-energy atmosphere, and the classes themselves are really enjoyable. The instructors are engaging during the ride and do a great job keeping you motivated. I especially loved the music and the lighting — the way the lights go up and down throughout the class makes certain moments feel really powerful and adds to the overall experience. The team is friendly and the studio runs smoothly, which makes it easy to show up and just focus on your workout. There were a few downsides for me. I was disappointed with the 30-day cancellation policy, especially since I wasn’t able to use the remaining classes I had already purchased during that time. I also noticed that my bike stats didn’t seem to match up with my Apple Watch when tracking workouts, which affected my placement on the leaderboard and made things feel a bit off. I also found that while the instructors are great during class, there wasn’t as much engagement before or after class, which I think could make the overall experience feel even more welcoming and connected. That said, the workouts themselves are fun, energizing, and something I looked forward to. If you’re looking for a motivating cycling class with great music and an immersive vibe, this is definitely a solid option.
