  One of the trainers (Alex maybe? Unsure of her name) and some other girl thought it appropriate to make tik toks, seemingly skits, for at least a half hour. They were occupying equipment, generally being in the way and positioned in such a manner that would allow for gym goers to be in the background. This is uncomfortable and unacceptable. It is a gym, not a set. People simply want to work out, nobody wants to have to weave around nor be in the background of some random persons video while trying to work out. If this continues, I will certainly end my membership and I am confident I’m not the only one.

  Having tried many gyms in the area and lifting at the YMCA for years, this is hands down one of the best gyms in Mass dare I say one of the best in New England. Not only is the culture here great but the machines are top tier. There’s a full leg room with 4 leg extensions, 2 seated hamstring curls, 3 lying hamstring curls, about every squat and leg press variation you can think of, and even more glute machines than that. As far as upper body goes you will never be disappointed, there’s at least 20 upper body machines alone along with plenty of squat racks, deadlift platforms, and dumbbells that go up to 200lbs. The cardio machines are also plentiful and you’ll find a good assortment of treadmills, stair masters, and various other assault bike type equipment. If you’re a hardcore lifter or just enjoy tons of variety this is the place for you. There’s also a great posing room for after your workout. If you happen to live in Mass or are just visiting near or close to the Boston area make your way to Saugus Ultraflex and you will not be disappointed!

  Easily the nicest gym I have been to in my almost 20 years of lifting. I've lived around New England and been out west for extended periods. Nothing else competes. I've been a member at the Saugus location for about three years and they have continually upgraded the gym equipment, layout and locker room. They have a ton of benches, squat racks and multiple deadlift platforms. Incredible variety of machines I haven't seen elsewhere as well as classic equipment. The community there is great. Extremely friendly staff. I can't say enough good things about the owner Chris and his dedication to providing his members with the best gym experience. Helps you stay consistent when you want to be there.
