The “Office Manager” is super harsh, very condescending, and simply unprofessional. Unfortunately, she is the entire reason I am leaving this review and have discontinued my service. Her attitude consistently changed the atmosphere of the office and turned what should have been a supportive environment into an uncomfortable and stressful experience.
What makes this especially disappointing is that the actual medical team and support staff are AMAZING. I genuinely had success with the program itself — the meal guidance, accountability, and medical support truly helped me. I’m honestly sad that I can't bring myself to continue my journey there because of one person’s behavior.
After dealing with multiple uncomfortable interactions with her generally off-putting attitude over the past year, yesterday was it if for me.
I’m sharing this because I believe transparency is important — especially since many people battling with body image also struggle with self-confidence, and other personal battles. I think it's important to be in supportive environments. So, if you are at all sensitive to negative energy and harsh interactions you should think twice about coming here to start your journey.
The final ordeal started when my appointment was mysteriously canceled the day before I was supposed to go. I had recv'd a voicemail from a tech in the office asking me to call her back. When I returned the call, she seemed just as confused as I was. We spent several minutes trying to find another appointment that could work with my schedule and the current availability, but since there were no other openings that worked, she kindly offered to squeeze me back in near my original appointment time. I didn't ask to be "squeezed in" also for the record - this tech has always been helpful, kind, and very warm, probably the primary reason I looked forward to my visits.
Upon arrival, instead of being greeted professionally, the Office Manager immediately started reprimanding me at the front desk about “squeezing appointments in” and how “it doesn’t work like that.” I could barely get a word in. I had no idea what was going on and why she was treating me so mean. The problem was caused by a scheduling error that she had made— not by me — yet I was spoken to as if I had done something wrong. I was honestly SO confused!
When I stood up for myself and told her not to speak to me like that, she became even more defensive and dismissive. Eye rolling, attitude, smacking her teeth, sarcastic remarks — completely inappropriate behavior in any professional setting, especially in an environment where many patients are already dealing with insecurities and vulnerability. I told her I don't appreciate being yelled at (prob not correct use of words, her tone was heavy, not overly loud) and her response was "ha... yelling.. pffftt if I was really yelling they'd hear it in the next office". At that point I just said this is not worth my peace and asked her to refund me for my unused sessions and I was going to leave.
What upset me even more was watching the tech that had orig called me — who was kind, calm, and genuinely trying to help fix an error — get interrupted and spoken to down to in front of me. As I was speaking with her, the "Office Manager" cut us off and loudly stated: “I’m the office manager, it doesn’t matter what she has to say.”
That comment alone told me everything I needed to know.
One person’s miserable attitude can absolutely ruin an otherwise positive experience, and unfortunately that was the case here. I ultimately requested to be credited back for my unused services because there is simply no way I will ever set foot in that building again. As a combat veteran that has struggled managing my emotions.. I knew I just needed to be done. I'm seeking encouragement and support on this journey.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the team at Medi-Weightloss in Plymouth. Karen, Mariah, Emma, and Linda consistently create an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and encouraging from the moment you walk through the door.
For over a year, they have each taken the time to listen, guide, and cheer me on throughout my journey. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for their clients truly set this office apart. You never feel like just another appointment on the schedule, you feel seen, supported, and motivated to keep moving forward.
If you are considering Medi-Weightloss, I highly recommend the Plymouth team. They bring both expertise and heart to the work they do, and it makes all the difference.
Thank you, Karen, Mariah, Emma, and Linda, for the positive impact you have had on my health and well-being!

Love the fact that professional people monitor you. Verses other programs that you don’t even see. Friendly staff.
If you don't make enough progress, they kick you out of the program. This was supposed to be a program to help people struggling with weight loss. Not judge them and kick them to the curb. Yikes. Won't ever be returning.

The chocolate and chocolate peanut butter are both delicious morning shakes. I use these as part of my fasting routine.
