Surgery Center of the Merrimack Valley

Lowell General Hospital and Shields Health Care Group, in partnership with leading physicians from the region, operate an ambulatory surgery center named The Surgery Center of the Merrimack Valley. Orthopedic surgeries including sports medicine, hand, foot and ankle, total joint and spine, are expected to drive a majority of the initial caseload with other specialties including gynecology and plastics to be added in the future.
