I went there for my second eye exam. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Zhou. He is pleasant, listens well, and am never rushed. I was grateful to be able to go on a Sunday. At the same time, I recognize that he works seven days a week! Thank you for all your hard work and time to help others!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – I Would NOT Recommend I had an appointment yesterday for a contact lens exam, comprehensive eye exam, and dilation. My appointment was scheduled for 4:40 PM. When I arrived, the waiting room was full and multiple patients appeared to be waiting well past their scheduled appointment times. The office seemed overwhelmed, and Dr. Zhou appeared rushed and stressed. I was not called back until approximately 5:55 PM—more than an hour after my scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, the experience only deteriorated from there. My examination with Dr. Zhou felt rushed and dismissive. I raised concerns regarding my left eye, but those concerns were not adequately addressed. Additionally, the dilated eye exam I had scheduled was never performed. Despite scheduling a contact lens appointment in advance, I was informed that the office was "short-staffed" and unable to complete my contact lens training. I was then told I would need to pay the full contact lens service fee (approximately $350), reschedule for the training & fitting appointment, and then return again for a follow-up appointment. I explained that I had specifically arranged my schedule and taken time off work for this appointment, which is why I booked everything in advance. After expressing my frustration, Dr. Zhou abruptly attempted to place contact lenses into my eyes himself. The process was extremely uncomfortable and felt unnecessarily forceful. I eventually had to stop him and explain that it was not working. I was then sent to a training room where a receptionist—not a trained contact lens technician—attempted to teach me how to insert contacts. (The receptionist had never worn contacts in her life) Unsurprisingly, the session was unsuccessful. To make matters worse, my contacts seemed too big, leaving me unsure whether the lenses were even the correct size for my eyes to perform this "training." Eventually, another staff member came in to assist, but by that point my eyes were red, irritated, and extremely uncomfortable. I decided to end the session. The most frustrating part came when I attempted to reschedule. Despite the fitting never being completed and the training being unsuccessful, I was told I owed the full $350 contact lens fee. When I questioned this, Dr. Zhou initially claimed the fitting had been completed. When I pointed out that no fitting had actually taken place, he changed his explanation and stated that the training had been completed instead. Neither statement accurately reflected what had occurred. After some back-and-forth, the fee was reduced, but at no point did anyone apologize for the delay, the incomplete services, or the overall terrible experience. Instead, I felt as though I was being blamed for raising legitimate concerns and leaving with swollen eyes. As a patient, I expect my time to be respected, my concerns to be heard, and to be charged only for services that are ACTUALLY performed. Unfortunately, none of those expectations were met. I ended up paying only for the eye exam I received but declined to pay for contact lens services that were never properly completed. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and concerned about the level of professionalism and patient care provided. Between the excessive wait time, incomplete services, poor communication, ruff patient handling and attempt to charge for services that were not fully rendered, I will not be returning. I would NEVER recommend this office based on my experience. My fiancé was there the whole time and ended up cancelling an appt he had scheduled a week out. TERRIBLE patient care, this office should be ashamed. Even the other staff working there expressed how bad I was being treated..... Good luck if you decide to go still!

I wasn’t impress with my visit today. I am hard of hearing and I never had an issue with anyone until recent visit. When I say I don’t understand or I need to read your lips or speak slowly, please do. I had to repeat it many times until I finally say to write it down! Next time, be more considerate. I will still come but expect someone who are hard of hearing or deaf. Be more accessibility.
