How long is a PT session?
For your initial evaluation, the appointment will take about 60 minutes. Going forward, your sessions will be about 40 minutes.
How often will I need to see the physical therapist?
Based on the examination and evaluation at your first appointment, your physical therapist will discuss with you your Plan Of Care (POC). This plan (POC) will include prescribed frequency and duration (ex: 3x week for 6 weeks) needed to reach your goals.
What should I expect during my physical therapy treatments?
Our clinic uses an exercise and manual based approach. Generally, your session may begin with hands-on treatment and then you will perform exercises prescribed by the physical therapist. The ratio will vary depending on your condition and where you are in your plan of care (POC).
What credentials do the physical therapists have at the clinic?
All of our physical therapists are Doctors in Physical Therapy (DPT) and are licensed by the state of Massachusetts. Each physical therapist has additional training in specialized areas.
