I’ve been going to Club Pilates in Canton for a few months now, and one of my main reasons for starting was to help with my recovery after a car accident. I still experience back pain and have some physical limitations, but since starting Pilates, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my strength and overall mobility. The exercises have helped me gradually become stronger, and I’m now able to do some activities that I wasn’t able to do before. I still have a long way to go, but I can see and feel the progress I’m making. I’m grateful to have found something that allows me to work at my own pace while continuing to build strength and support my recovery. Club Pilates Canton has been a positive part of that journey for me.

I really like the concept of Club Pilates and some of the instructors are excellent, but the reservation system has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The biggest issue is how the class credits work. If your membership renews on a certain day of the month, that’s when your class credits are released. The problem is that by the time you receive your credits, most of the classes are already full. In many cases, it’s almost impossible to book classes during the first week or even the first two weeks after renewal. This becomes even harder if you are a beginner, need specific class levels, or can only attend at certain times like afternoons. I constantly struggle to find classes that fit my schedule, and sometimes I can’t even use all the credits I paid for within the month. It creates long gaps between classes, which is not good for consistency or progress. The waitlist system is also stressful because if you get added after the cancellation window, you may still get charged without having enough flexibility to cancel. Another frustrating issue is instructor consistency. Some instructors are fantastic and very engaging, while others are extremely difficult to follow or hard to hear during class. There are also situations where classes show “TBD” for the instructor or the instructor changes after booking, which makes it difficult to know what experience you’re signing up for. The manager who introduced me to the studio was wonderful, and there are definitely instructors whose classes I love, but their classes are nearly impossible to book because they fill immediately. Overall, I enjoy Pilates itself and think the workouts are beneficial, but the current booking and credit system makes the experience unnecessarily stressful. I wish members could reserve classes further in advance or have a fairer system that allows people to consistently attend the classes they’re paying for.
