  A friend of mine recommended me to get in touch with Dr. Ptak. Just calling the office to get more info on getting an appointment was so smooth. Jhen helped me out with scheduling & rescheduling & with my insurance info. Going to the office, it doesn't feel like a medical office. Its so pretty, white with pinks, so elegant looking. So clean, so fresh. The guy who took x-rays, it was his last week there but he was so nice. I had to go for two appointments. Both appointments Dr. Ptak had two dental assistants helping her which was great. Both visits it was a great team. I love that they pull up your x-rays on a screen in front of you & explain everything while showing you. I also loved that I could request my own music during the appointment. Dr Ptak constantly asked if I was doing okay and even after the visit, she'd call the next day to check in. It always felt that whenever I went in, I was the only one that mattered at that time & they took care of me great! I loved it at Apx & I hope I do not return for any more dental work haha, but I would highly recomend & I would for sure pop my head in to say hello anytime I'm in the area. Thank you SOOOO much for making an anxious dental appointment so smooth.

  I had such a great experience here! Everyone working at APX is so friendly and calming, they explained everything to me, and made sure I was completely numb before starting my root canal. Very thorough, attentive, and efficient without compromising my comfort at all!

  Very friendly team. They answered all my questions, and there were a lot due to me being so nervous, but they answered everything and were very patient with me. Didn’t feel a thing, almost fell asleep in the chair. The facilities were clean and modern too, which was an even nicer touch. I would highly recommend!

  So where to start-some context. My journey to finding high quality care and having my root canal rectified has been a long one. Not to go into details, but after numerous terrible experiences in NY last year into this year, I conducted deep research and found APX Endodontics. As I'm a Mass native, I knew Cambridge well and searched for Endodontics practices in the area. APX, came up immediately. Conducting, initial research Dr. Ptak's practice felt like the right move. Indeed it was. I scheduled an initial assessment, in which she broke down the challenges of my potential treatment in a clear professional breakdown and communique, along with handing me a flash drive of my CBTC scan results. With the provided data and such a positive experience, I knew I would be in the right hands with APX Endodontics. So, the first scheduled root canal appointment, I was really anxious, however, the team and Dr. Ptak quelled my anxiety by being light, caring, efficient, along with handing me a stress ball and playing upbeat tunes, a little over an hour passed in a blink. Albeit, this was not the end of my tribulations, alas, a few days later, the abscess appeared again, and through constant communications with the team and the doctor, we devised a plan to mitigate the issue prior to my follow up visit. Two weeks, later, I was in the chair again, after an initial assessment, Dr Ptak was honest about the outlook for the tooth-it seemed dire. Me being a bit stubborn, I didn't want to give up on the tooth, so the team went in again, this time deeper, with some laser treatment. With a slight hiccup a week and a half in, I came into final follow-up with APX endodotics holding onto a slight cautious optimism. When, the doctor, said everything looked fine and the tooth was ready for a permanent filling, a heavy weight lifted from my shoulders. As of now, the tooth is looking good and I am grateful to have found Dr. Ptak and APX endodotics. My experience shows how with the right doctor and team, a complex root canal procedure can turn from dire to positive. I highly recommenced Dr. Ptak along with her team at APX Endodontics. As, I hope the team will take her teachings and professional demeanor along with them on their own respective paths.
