Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I have 4 small children. This pharmacy is always out of something or can't find the order. They keep making the same mistakes. It's frustrating! I'll go find another pharmacy.

I would not recommend going to Kroger Pharmacy. It used to be an awesome place to go, but now they have terrible customer service. There have been many times when I have called for a simple thing and they are just so rude. If you don't like your job, go somewhere else where there isn't customer contact. The wait time is ridiculous. The Rx was sent at around noon and I called around 4 pm ( very rude and short with me) to see if it was ready for pickup. I was then told 1 hour so I showed up 2 hours (waited in line) later to find out that it still wasn't ready. She told me 15 mins. I walked around the store for 20 mins. Came back, waited in an even longer line and it was still not ready. At this point I was not going to leave the line. Finally, the Rx was ready. Then, I checked out with some other items and left the register. I looked at my receipt and realized she did not scan my Kroger card (that is on my Rx). So, I paid full price for the items I purchased and did not get any gas points. Went to Customer service desk-----she (grey/blonde hair) was NOT friendly what so ever!!!! Not a happy customer!!! Because of the mistake with the Kroger card I did not get a receipt with a review on it. Management needs to get involved to train their employees (PHARMACY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE) and hire more people!!! Smile occasionally and maybe say something nice. I will be going elsewhere for my Rx!!! This was just truly disappointing. I will also be posting a review on google. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Multiple times I have been to this pharmacy over the years and had my prescriptions not filled correctly. Every time you go there are tons of people in line, and although there are about 10 people working, only 1 person is ever helping customers. Recently my prescription was not filled for around 2 weeks because they had to call the doctor to have it refilled. Apparently they never got a response from the doctor, and instead of contacting me, they just left it unfilled. When I asked them about why I was never contacted, I was told that it was my prescription and my responsibility to ensure that they are filled. How am I supposed to know when you don't communicate with me?! Additionally, they informed me that they had been calling the wrong doctor. I corrected them and they still haven't gotten it filled.
