Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Looks like they removed my review which was a scathing review these people are horrible and if you tried to turn them in to their superiors nothing is done about it and they get to retaliate against you and nothing is done about it. I dealt with a Year's worth of retaliation and bullying from Kroger pharmacy at 50 Stonegate center Somerset Kentucky. By the head tech Janet, the pharmacist who is always late and the flunky fat boy that works the window. Well this time something is going to be done about it because I'm suing them. And I'm naming those specific people personally in the lawsuit right along with the store manager Monica. They threatened to call the police on my husband for waiting in the Drive-Thru to pick up my medication that was supposed to be ready. But, that boy that works the window if he doesn't like you he won't hand you your medicine one second before the time they say it's to be ready. As a matter of fact, on one occasion ,it was 5 minutes after the time they said it would be ready. The lawsuit is going to be epic and I'm going to make sure that boy and the little boy pharmacist are fired right along with the district manager for the pharmacy who told them to refuse to fill my medication, that by the way were already filled and later that day it reflected at another pharmacy that 75 pills had been filled and I had to call and threaten to have the Kentucky State Police take everybody out in handcuffs before they fixed it. I've already consulted an attorney and they told me it's a guaranteed win. Maybe Kroger should be more selective about the people that they hire and actually take time to see to it the people that keep them in business aren't poorly treated, bullied, harassed or retaliated against. Apparently that's their company policy. It's okay to retaliate against a customer that reports them to their superiors for their gross misconduct and incompetence. And, you can keep removing my reviews all you want this is going to be on Facebook, tick tock and every other social media outlet there is. Again I hope your high school pettiness was worth it because you cost yourself your job, your license and certification and you cost Kroger corporation all kinds of money. My lawsuit alone will probably cause that pharmacy to be shut down. I have contacted the BBB and pharmaceutical licensing board. And by the other reviews I've read they need to be shut down permanently.

Wouldn’t answer the phone, so I had to wait in line for 15 minutes, just to be told my prescription was not ready despite it being called in early the day before. Extremely unhelpful.
