Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Not sure who was working Monday March 2nd and closed the pharmacy 15 minutes early, but just so you know I wasn’t able to get my sleep medication. Maybe in the future, stay open until the hours you are supposed to like any job is expected to do.

I am extremely disappointed with the way my daughter was treated by the Kroger Pharmacy staff. Her Dr. called in her prescription earlier that day but when she arrived Kroger pharmacy told her she would have to pay cause her insurance wouldnt cover it so she left get to the money came back she was told there was no record of it in their system. This was especially frustrating since she had already been informed by a pharmacy employee in person that the medication was ready. Instead of helping resolve the issue, staff members were rude and dismissive, giving her the runaround. They even questioned her about the medication she was prescribed, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. There is no excuse for treating customers this way. I expect better communication, professionalism, and respect from your pharmacy team. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope steps are taken to ensure this does not happen to others.

Never open on time…. Ever!!! Slow, and incompetent among various other words. You will wait a min of 10 mins no matter when or what day you go.

They're definitely not caring... that's false advertising. If you show up 40 minutes before they close with a simple antibiotic prescription for a painful tooth infection, they snort (it was actually a combination snort and expulsion of spittle) in derision that you would dare attempt to get medicine that close to their "quitting time". The lesson here is clear: healthcare "professionals" at grocery stores stop caring at least 40 minutes before the whistle blows.

Very slow, they have gotten my prescription wrong a few times. This is edited because I had another bad experience with them. I called the other day at 11:30 AM and the phone rang for 5 minutes until someone from customer service answered and transferred my call to the pharmacy. It then rang for another two minutes before someone picked up. I told her the prescription I needed refilled and I went a few hours later to pick it up. They told me I was out of it all together. So the next day I brought a new prescription and handed it to them and they told me it would be ready in 30 minutes. I can back 40 minutes later and they told me it would be ready the next day. It was so frustrating.
