Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I’ve been going to this pharmacy for years because it is close to my home. In the past year, their customer service has declined. They open at 9:00am; I arrived at 9:00am. I’ve had to wait for whoever is scheduled to open to show (9:05am, 9:10am) and then it takes them another 10-15 minutes to turn on all the lights, computers, etc. (My husband and I both have monthly prescriptions on auto refill. This has happened to me several times this year.) They also close for lunch. Literally, in the middle of the day, they’re closed. This is a small pharmacy, but busy. Whoever is managing the payroll can easily schedule an opener to arrive at 8:45am so their customers doesn’t have to wait. And closing for lunch is ridiculous. Rotate the lunch schedule and be available for your customers. Their app does not ever match their fill. At this moment my husband’s app shows waiting to be filled and last night he got an auto call that it is ready for pick-up. They need to get it together.

I have never had so many problems before until I moved and had to switch my Kroger pharmacy to this one. I’ve been trying to use them for a couple months now and every time I refill my prescription, there is always a problem. I have no idea why but I get texts saying it’s ready and it never is. I call my doctor every time and have them send a prescription over and it’s never there. Every time I go to try and pick it up I wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour from them to figure it out. I’ve done nothing different here then at my old one and I’ve used my last Kroger pharmacy for 10+ years. It’s very frustrating when I’m having to miss days of very important mental health medications that shouldn’t be skipped because they can’t fill it properly. I have broke down in tears multiple times there over my frustrations while there. All I want is my medications problem free. Will have to be finding a new pharmacy.
