Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I feel like kroger pharmacies in general have gone down hill but this one is terrible! Ive had an antibiotic and steroid pack called in on a weekend which mind you they don't open until 10 or 11 am and my medication was called in at 11:30 well come 12:30 I go to pick up they give me the antibiotic and I wss about to drive off until I realized I only had one medication. They didn't communicate anything with me. I told the man I had a steroid pack as well and he said that it would have to wait until after their lunch. They had 30 min to get it ready before lunch!! Now im not a pharmacist put steroid dose packs come pre packaged yes the insurance side has to be done but they could have got that ready for me while I was there as well as at least communicated with me not having to initiate the conversation. This is not the first thats happened. When I had an extraction and was in misery I had 12 pain meds called in and I rushed there to get that and one other medication called in. Naturally they gave me the other medication and said they were going to lunch In 10 min it would have to be after lunch. Like they are more concerned about their breaks than taking care of a patient. I was in pain and not to mention the drive back and fourth cost gas time and money. I also hate if you come up for a medication pick up they will tell you the app says pick up at 3 come bsck. Excuse me? What happened to helping the customer that is there in your presence now? Maybe an app assigned time doesn't work with my schedule I understand using the app for basic foundations but if a patient is there you should work on their order not say sorry come back when the app says to. Ive since moved to a small pharmacy and it is so much better. They use old school customer or patient care techniques and rules and I appreciate that. Kroger being apparently so busy they send people away and don't have time to fill pr packed medications before lunch when they had the order for over an hour for them to now have changed hours to closing at 3pm on sat and Sunday and then closing at 6 on weekdays when it was 8pm before makes no sense.

I'm a caregiver and did two rides and couldn't get medicine for my client with his id and debit card. It seems you don't care about people. Change rules or teach your employees speak loudly clearly your rules. Don't recommend!!!

I have used Kroger pharmacy Brannon location for over 10 years. For thousands of prescriptions for my family and I. We have experienced out of stock challenges, issues where my health insurance needed prior authorization’s, non covered medication due to my insurance. With all of that and more, I feel that Brannon Kroger Pharmacy has worked above standards to help me and my family. They address me by first name and make me feel that know me and any health issues/ possible reactions I may have. Any business will have challenges. Especially when you deal product shortages, health insurances, National laws, Doctor offices, staffing shortages and customers that that are sometimes stressed and presently ill. All of that and they keep a smile and a say”hello, how can I help you”.
