Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

They never answer the phone. They are always delayed in getting prescriptions done, often waiting until you go to their and ask them why it hasn't been filled. They forget to run and/or rerun insurance

I was put on repeated hold without even asking me if I was ok but they never answer the phone they are very rude and then when you finally get them on the phone they act like it's no big deal that they had you waiting on the phone for 10 minutes they are so inconsiderate 10/10 do NOT recommend

All these negative reviews are consistent. So, without complicating things, I'll keep it vague, but in line. Worst pharmacy ever. They have no system in place to hold anyone accountable for the misinformation they pass along to customers. Poor communication and employee training. It's hard to fathom that Kroger doesn't know about their pharmacy's shortcomings, and also does nothing to clean things up and make improvements. There's a reason why they have 1.5 avg out of 5. A sample size of nearly 100 people is very telling.

I can’t begin to tell you how bad this pharmacy is. I’ve consistently had trouble getting my medicine on time so I tried to do my last fill early. I put in the request 7-8 days ago. Showed up after 3 days to pick it up and they gave me 3 of the 30 in a partial fill and did not state to me at the time it was a partial. When I went to take the medication the next morning I realized so I called and called trying to let them know how badly I needed the medication before Friday. I work 6a-8p Fri-Sun and am unable to pick up my medications from them during those days. My medication so important for me to have daily to function. I took my last pill Friday morning. I went back to them on Thursday around 5-5:30 and the tech, who was very nice; stated he’d fill it right away since he knew I came and waited just a couple days prior. To his credit he filled it very fast and stated he just needed the pharmacist to verify the count. After spending 3-4 hours of my week trying to get my prescription and needing to be somewhere I asked it it would take long. He said, no just a few minutes and asked me to step to the side. I did so along with a couple of guys who were waiting there before me. After about 30-45 minutes… it was 6:30 now… they called one guy that his was ready and had him get back in the 30 minute line that had built up. At that point I had to go and told the pharmacist to cancel the fill so I could transfer to my work pharmacy. My work pharmacy now can’t fill it because they filled it but I can’t get it so despite several hours and my best efforts I’m not without a very important medication due to their short staffing, poor management and unprofessionalism.

This is by far the worst pharmacy that I have ever used. I had a prescription called in from the little clinic at the same Kroger and it was not ready for 5 days. I asked multiple times for it to be transferred to a different pharmacy however, when the other pharmacy called Kroger to complete the transfer, Kroger told them that they had no record of me being a patient and no prescriptions for me, and would not transfer my prescriptions. I left multiple messages at the Kroger pharmacy to check my the transfer status and figure out how I could get my meds and they neglected to even respond. I still don’t have my meds 5 days later, after being told every day that it would be ready once they return from lunch. If you want to know peace and be able to get your meds in a timely manner, find another pharmacy to use.
