This was my first experience having an eye exam and getting prescription glasses, so I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. At 55 years old, I’ve always considered my eyesight to be pretty good, so I’ll admit I was a little nervous walking into LensCrafters at The Summit at Fritz Farm. From the moment I arrived, however, those nerves quickly disappeared. I was warmly greeted at the reception desk by name, checked in, and taken back for my eye exam. I went through several different tests, and to my surprise, they were actually fun, completely painless, and very easy to understand. The technicians were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and did an excellent job of keeping me informed about what they were doing and why throughout the entire process. I then met with Dr. Julie May, who performed some additional testing. Once again, everything was explained clearly, and we had a genuinely enjoyable conversation throughout the exam. Dr. May is incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and personable. I have complete confidence and trust in her ability to care for something as important and sensitive as my eyes. After the exam, I learned that I am slightly nearsighted and would benefit from prescription glasses. That’s when I met Sheila, the store manager at LensCrafters, and she was just as impressive. Sheila was polite, professional, courteous, and clearly knows her business. She took the time to help me find the right glasses and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. The experience was so positive that my wife decided to switch over as well and purchased a pair of glasses that same day. Based on the exceptional service we received from everyone, we are now lifetime customers. A huge thank-you to the entire team, especially the technicians, Dr. Julie May, and Sheila, for making what I expected to be a nerve-racking first experience such a positive and enjoyable one. You all went above and beyond, and I truly appreciate it. I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Very pretty store, sad to see it being run the way it is. A couple of gentlemen present were pleasant but the manager Sheila seemed more interested in what sounded like office gossip than she did attending to guests. She was fairly unpersonable, like lifting a finger was unbecoming of her. Very odd experience and not a very welcoming environment. Took my business across the street and it was much more upbeat.

What a waste of a beautiful store due to poor management. Drove to Cincinnati to with frames that I originally got from this location because I refuse to spend money & time at a store where managers refuse to do their job properly & efficiently. Disappointing. If I could rate it a 0 I would

I have bought 5-6 pairs (or more)of lens from LensCrafters over the years but today is any indication of future service I will not be back. I went in to have adjustment made on my daily wear glasses and my prescription glasses. The gentleman helping me was a total waste of my time and his time. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or lacked the knowledge to help me. Normally a lady(Shauna?) is there and she is all about customer service. First time for me going there and not getting good service.

JR the associate who helped me could not have been more helpful or accommodating of me needs. Excellent service and highly recommend this store. Although the national chain website advertises glasses in an hour many of the stores no longer have an inhouse lab so that option is not necessarily available. Still highly recommended

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
