Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Talk about one ticked off mom. 3 1/2 hours after my son was seen at the doctor still no meds. 45 mins waiting in the parking lot with a 4 year old who’s been bitten by a venomous spider crying in the back seat in pain wanting to go home and here I am with multiple shattered bones needing to get myself home as well from pain and being told to circle around and jump back in line behind 6 more cars lined up so meds can be mixed. Absolutely disgraceful I’ll never come back.

I will preface that I am not one to leave bad reviews. However, upon my experience with Tates Creek Kroger Pharmacy today it is warranted. My husband and I have always used Chinoe Kroger Pharmacy. However, we leave for vacation early tomorrow morning so my NP called in early refills. My husband went to pick up the medication from Chinoe Kroger Pharmacy but they were unable to fill the 2nd prescription and it needed to be transferred to another location because Chinoe is a smaller Kroger and were closing in 30 minutes. My Chinoe Kroger Pharmacy AND family NP have known that my husband and I are going on vacation for 10 days starting tomorrow morning. I have not requested early refills in the 11 and a half years I have been using Chinoe Kroger Pharmacy. When I called Tates Creek Kroger Pharmacy and explained the situation and that this 2nd medication needed to be transferred I was scolded like a child! They almost didn't fill it!! I am 49 years old!! I was told that they will do it this ONE time but NEVER again. I even told them I could pull up the emails on MYCHART BAPTIST and show them the supporting correspondence between my NP and myself. So the medication I picked up EARLY at Chinoe Kroger Pharmacy was NO PROBLEM! But I ASSURE YOU it sure was a problem at Tates Creek Kroger! Yes they filled it but I will NEVER use this Pharmacy again!!!!! No one should be made to feel bad for being honest! Only groceries from this location from hereon!!!!! I will drive to Richmond Rd Pharmacy if I have to but I will NEVER use Tates Creek again for medication refills. Also, would like to add that my previous prescription date was 3/9/26. Today is 4/4/26. I was only a few days early and the medication is not even a narcotic! It is a muscle relaxer and I simply did not want to run out on my vacation. I still have quite a few left! If you use Tates Creek Kroger you will may want to plan your vacation around your medication refills! Which is RIDICULOUS!!! And to be scolded over the phone was beyond unprofessional. I will sing Chinoe Kroger Pharmacy's praises though! If you don't like Tates Creek Kroger Pharmacy I highly recommend switching to Chinoe Krogery Pharmacy! 🤗

Tates Creek Kroger Pharmacy. Just so the right people get credit. Came to pick up meds on 04/04/2026. They are by far the rudest and most hateful people i think ive ever meet, and that's saying alot. Ive never been treated like that before at any store, ever. The pharmacist seemed to get joy out of embarrassing people and talking down to them. Ill never go back. Those who read this, go at your own risk.

An encounter with the worker today encouraged me to file an official grievance. Disseminating false information to patients is completely unacceptable
