Commonwealth Pediatrics is a medical office striving to help children grow and be healthy. We are board certified and care deeply about the health of your child. Our goal is to help your child be physically, mentally, and emotionally well. From birth through young adulthood, we will help you raise healthy children. For new mothers, we offer a complimentary prenatal visit where you can tour our office, meet the staff, ask questions, and receive a goodie bag. This is a personalized one on one visit with a member of our team. We offer school and sports physicals and fill out all forms during the scheduled visit. - EDElizabeth DelapazAug 18, 20262.0We just moved to Kentucky so when looking for a doctor for my children I was referred to here. Upon making the appointment I told the lady on the phone what I was needing to get done and that I was self pay. I was given a price for what I was needing to get done. However upon checking out at the Dr office they tried getting me to pay more. I told them no because I had called to get a quote for what I was needing done for my children. I was quoted about 480 for my visit over the phone being self pay. I paid what they charged me at the office. I received a bill today in the mail for another 400 dollars for the same appointments I have already paid for. I think I will switch doctors because it is crazy to be quoted one price and then charged double for an appointment.
- SWSarah WhitlockMar 24, 20261.0Discovering the billing office is a money grab. Make sure you review your receipts and stay in contact with your insurance. They will itemize every possible symptom and anything you mentioned so use your words sparingly. If you go in for a well visit and mention anything about the well-being of the child, which should be included in this visit, it will be coded as a separate visit. They put it off on insurance when really it is the coding of the office and doctors. Such a shame.

My children’s previous pediatrician Dr. LaGrew retired and ever since we transferred to commonwealth we have been over charged and asked to bring in my daughter for a million visits and checkups. Recently she went in for a 2 1/2 year check and I spoke about her eczema and needing a refill and they billed my insurance over $100 for a 2 minute conversation about needing a refill completely ridiculous. If I know I would have been charged for a second visit I never would have brought it up. They tack on so many extra charges before even discussing it with the guardian. They want you to keep coming back to their office so they can charge you for every little thing. I will be disputing with my insurance company.
