Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I have surgery at 1 today and Kroger tells me I can’t pick up my sedation medication until 2 the same day as my surgery just an hour after. Then I finally get that figured out and now I’m trying to call up there just to see if my wife can pick it up. And no one will answer the phone. Imagine that! Save your time and go to a real pharmacy! This has been the biggest inconvenience and it started with Kroger! Thanks

Was told that they wouldn’t have one of my medications til the next day which I needed urgently. My mother goes back today and was told it would be tomorrow. She told them I needed it so maybe they could send it to another pharmacy. Then they said oh if he needs it now I can go ahead and give them to you??? So you all had it the first time we tried too I’m guessing and for some reason withheld my meds? If I could give you all negative stars I would. Get it together.

Picked up my moms RX for hydrocodone today. Unfortunately I didn’t confirm the count on the bottle actually matched the number of pills we picked up. We will definitely have them count them in front of me before I leave the store. Unfortunately there are people that abuse this medication and try to accuse to get more pills. We are not those people and it’s unfortunate that we get lumped into that category. The manager is on vacation next week so we have to wait an entire week before we can log a complaint. This is not the first time we have had this issue. So walking out of there without counting them is on me. That won’t happen again….. someone in that pharmacy is taking from patients that require the medication to get through the day, like my 85 yr old mother. Lesson learned…. Received 2 bottles each bottle was supposed to have 56 pills. One bottle was correct the other bottle had 48. Short 8 pills.

So disorganized! The pharmacist was beyond rude and they made me take multiple loops around the drive thru while they tried to figure out what they had done with my medicine. I will definitely be changing pharmacies after todays experience.
