Comprehensive exams, oral cancer screenings, xrays, and periodontal/gum assessments are all a part of a new patient exam and allow us to put together an individualized treatment plan to best care for you and your oral health.

Even though our goal is to construct a long term treatment plan to offer you the best care we can, we understand that sometimes emergencies happen and the only concern is dealing with a specific problem. We want you to feel comfortable calling us so that we can manage these urgent treatment needs as well.

Dental decay, “cavities”, can cause a variety of problems that only worsen with time. Some of the treatment options include “silver” or tooth-colored” fillings, root canals, and when necessary, the surgical removal of teeth that cannot be repaired.

Laser dentistry is a very effective, drill-free treatment option for various dental procedures. The number of applications for lasers in dentistry is astounding. We use the BIOLASE Waterlase® MD , one of the most advanced systems, for many procedures that would otherwise require drills or blades. With laser dentistry, your dentist can complete procedures faster and more accurately. Because lasers are so specific, no measurable effect is seen beyond the intended target site. For patients with cavities, removal can be accomplished using laser machines with the ability to remove decay within a tooth, and prepare the surrounding enamel for bonded fillings. The need for anesthesia is greatly reduced or eliminated when using lasers over the traditional methods. During your initial visit, Dr. Henley and Dr. Shepherd can explain more about the laser and in what ways you can benefit from the use of it.

Dental implants, bridges, partials and dentures offer a range of options when it comes to replacing teeth that have been lost. We are happy to explain the differences in each of them and determine the best fit for what you are looking for.

Having a smile to be proud of is something many patients ask us for. We offer teeth whitening, veneers, bonding, and crowns as a means of giving our patients something to smile about.

It is not a surprise when patients tell us they have a fear of the dentist. We aim to put you at ease with the atmosphere of genuine concern in the office. We also offer nitrous/laughing gas, and oral sedation, as a way to ease your fears and allow the dental visit to be one you can look forward to and not fear.
