Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

This pharmacy stays very busy but that's not the issue. The biggest issue is how cold the staff is. I realize they are busy but you can hear them talking to eachother and are pleasant and smiling, but then they talk to you in a very different way. No smiles. No personalization. The young lady who helped me was very short with me. I was in extreme pain from just having oral surgery an hour before. First she said my medications were not there. I showed her the text from kroger stating they were there. She then told me to verify the names of the medications. I contacted my dentist to get the exact names. I went back to the line when my turn came she was again very short with me. I gave her the names of the medications. She said sit down it will be 15 mins. I was in pain so I didnt say anything about her rude tone and sat down. 45 mins later..I asked the young lady if it was ready and she just walked away. About 5 mins later and very sweet older African American lady brought me the medication and apologized for how long it took. If not for her I would have given 0 stars.

Worst pharmacist ever!! And two techs are rude and don't care especially if your elderly. I had an issue with my prescription being postponed until the next day. The pharmacist was very rude at the drive through and then when I got home and called back to get it straightened out. She was even more rude, when I asked her name she said it's time for my lunch and hung up on me. And I've been with kroger for at least 30 years and this just started happening in the last year ot so. Looks like I'll be looking for a new pharmacy.

The best thing I can say about this Kroger pharmacy is that it's better than Walgreens. So, take that for what it's worth to you. They seem to have plenty of staff, so I don't understand the other reviews saying they are understaffed and overworked. I almost always go inside rather than through the drive-thru, and they always have several people working. No one ever seems to be in a hurry or overly stressed out about anything. Most of the techs are nice. But, refills are slow. So, use the app, and request refills as soon as they are available rather than waiting until you're completely out. I suppose that's good advice regardless of the pharmacy, but it'll keep you from being frustrated with the Kroger staff and your doctors' offices.
