Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I've tried to call a human a number of times and cannot get anyone to talk to. I'm not going describe my issue here but it is not something the automated answering service can resolve. I'm tired of wasting my time listening to an automated thing explaining things I already know. I asked twice to speak to someone and the auto tried to explain how I may be able to resolve it online...which I already tried to do. After 5 minutes of listening to useless information the auto told me everyone was on break.

After living here for 5 years this is my first time having a bad experience with this pharmacy. I am very understanding of most things; however talking over me and interrupting while asking a question about something I am putting in my body doesn’t sit well with me. Kelsey was extremely rude and it doesn’t surprise me that a couple of other people have mentioned her behavior in their review. I was shocked at how she spoke to me, but was then even more shocked with the way the pharmacist, Kim, spoke with me as well. Again, this is the first time I’ve had a bad experience, but I hope they are able to do some training so that perhaps they can be a bit more kind to their patients in the future. I am willing to look over this and just hope they are having a rough day.

They've had my prescription for 3 days. It's refillable today. My Dr and I worked on getting the prescription in early on Monday because I knew I had to leave town Thursday. I call them today, on Thursday, at 9am to see if I can pick up my prescription so I can get on the road. They tell me it'll be ready at 3pm! I politely tell them that my mother is extremely ill and in the ICU 3 hours away and I need to leave and they basically tell me "Well, I can try to move it up in the queue, but no guarantees because it's a controlled substance". They could care less. Now contrast that to the Meijers in Louisville. I have a prescription there that is also controlled. I tell them the exact same thing I told Krogers....and their response was "Sure, give us about 30 minutes". I had the same problem with the Kroger in Brandenburg. Very rude. They could care less what your situation is. They wont lift a finger to help the customer. AVOID THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COST!

If I could give less than one star I would. It takes days for prescriptions to be filled. I had four prescriptions called by my Doctor on 2/5/2026 one of which I was told it was vital I start taking immediately. I went to the Pharmacy a couple hours later to check the status to find the the Kroger Pharmacy was closed and would not open again until Friday 2/6/2026. I check the status of my prescription on line three said in progress pick up Monday February 9th after 2:00 one it on hold due to insurance approval which I understand. I call and try to get the one I was to take immediately due to crisis stage high blood pressure to see if I could at least get it. Was told maybe Sunday but most likely it would be Monday. This has not been the first time I have went to pick up my husband's prescription the day after they were called in and was told it would be another couple days. I just spoke with my husband he had went to pickup his prescription that was called in over two weeks ago ( Dr. change his to 90 days prescription) the 30 days was due to run out on Sunday. Kroger did not have ready or in stock one of which he cannot be without even one day. The other Kroger's was able to fill it but we will be changing Pharmacies.
