Sunday, August 9, 2026, Around 7:30 pm, I started having chest, stomach, and back pain. Back pain went away. I called 911 at 9 pm. Arrived at ER. One of the worst experiences I've had in ER. I felt like I wasn't taken seriously. I was nauseated. 4 to 6 times cough up and ----- up thick mucus like I do when my asthma is acting up. Because everything came back normal I was diagnosed with food poisoning, gastrional issues, or a gastrional virus. The doctor never did a chest xray to be on the safe side. I was given fluids for dehydration. Discharged around 3 am.

Our family had a very disappointing experience at Taylor Regional Hospital's Emergency Department. My grandfather was brought in by ambulance because he was suffering from severe, uncontrollable muscle spasms. He has titanium rods in his back and deteriorating discs, and he was in excruciating pain. The nurse who cared for him was wonderful. She was compassionate, kind, and treated him with respect. We are truly grateful for the care she provided. Unfortunately, our experience with the doctor was completely different. We felt that my grandfather was dismissed almost immediately and treated as though he was seeking pain medication instead of having his severe pain and extensive back history taken seriously. The doctor was rude, unwilling to communicate with him respectfully, and seemed ready to send him home without fully addressing what was happening. We were also disappointed by the professionalism of the ambulance crew during the transport. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, especially when they arrive at the emergency department in severe pain. We hope Taylor Regional Hospital reviews this experience so that other patients receive the quality of care they deserve.

My wife had all of her teeth pulled on top because of a bad accident and was suffering from pain of infection. She visited tonight. Dr came in and laid his phone down and told her that AI was going to record her and her symptoms and diagnose her. She asked him “well why are you even here?” She even asked him if he wanted to look in her mouth and he said no. She was seeking antibiotics and pain medication from having all her teeth being pulled and he said he couldn’t give her pain medication because of pain med seekers out there. She was like “yea I’m seeking pain meds because I’m in pain”. This place is and always was a joke. I’m telling everyone I know everyday that I can to go to another hospital.

I was here to get help on a day they was not busy and doctors and nurses just standing around talking and having conversations while typing. Waited for an hour and half to be seen and wasn’t so I left. No excuses for this kind of treatment at all. No one was busy if they are talking about their own personal lives and just aimlessly goofing off.
