UK King's Daughters Emergency Department

Opened in June 2025, UK King’s Daughters' state-of-the-art Emergency Department features 86 treatment areas, including 60 private rooms. Key highlights include: • A Provider-in-Triage area for fast care of non-emergent conditions • Three isolation rooms for patients with infectious diseases or hazardous exposures • Two trauma bays designed to accommodate up to four patients • Two CT scanners inside the department • STAT lab • Four private behavioral health rooms with a separate, secure entrance • Separate ambulance entrance and private work areas for first responders Designed to enhance patient privacy, comfort, and safety, the new ED reflects our commitment to timely, high-quality emergency care.
