They care more about making a commission than actually providing concise and fair service. Came back after 2 years expecting a normal replacement and instead got hit with one of the most blatant price jumps I’ve ever seen. Last time, I got an eye exam, frames, and lenses all together for under $500. Today? I’m being told the lenses alone are $500 and that's not even including the frames and the eye exam next door. Their only explanation was that my previous purchase was “40% off.” Do some basic math. I'm not buying new frames or including the eye exam - it makes no sense the lenses are suddenly costing double. I even looked at my receipt from last time, the lenses were $260 without any discounts - so you're telling me in just two years the exact same lenses, albeit my prescription has gone up a bit, are almost double the price? Sales associate says we can just take off the $30 protection plan - did I even tell you to include that? Just puts it there on his own accord to boost that commission up. The guy was useless from the get go. Brings his manager over and she puts in some discount code. If ya'll could've put that in there from the very beginning, said how sales are online only yada yada yada, - (it says in bold letters in store and online only on their website main page mind you) - why are we going through all these hoops? Just give the discounted price from the very beginning and save us both some time. I'm not the type to haggle or complain about prices, but I can obviously tell when I'm being scammed. What a shame. Their only positive was that they quoted an hour for my lenses and it only took about 30 minutes. Genuinely wouldn't even bother with LensCrafters moving forward, will just buy my prescription elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
