Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

The last prescription I got filled here I said I had a question for the pharmacist. I saw them look at each other and one yell, "not it." So no one came over until the clerk told them again I had a question. She barely listened to my question and gave me an answer that didn't relate to what I was asking. I wound up just calling my doctor since the pharmacist clearly didn't care. Unfortunately, I needed to use them for another prescription today. I got a text at 341pm they received my prescription. I checked the status around 445 and it was still pending. At 508pm I got a text saying I could get it OTC. I didn't to go OTC so I ignored it and checked the status again around 530pm. Now it said "thanks for picking up your prescription." I thought that was odd, since I hadn't picked it up, so I called and told them I wanted to check the status. She told me they would "start working on it" when I asked when it would be available, I was told by 6pm. I show up at the pharmacy at 6pm, only to be told I there is no prescription and I can get it OTC because it is cheaper (the cost difference was negligible). I explained I wanted to use my HSA card and have the expense count towards my deductible, and she proceeds to tell me they would have to order part of it and it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. This lack of communication and assumption on their end caused me to waste hours of my day and essentially spend double since it doesn't come out of money already allocated for health expenses and toward my deductible. I will go out of my way to not use this pharmacy in the future. I see why they only have a 2.5 rating.

3rd time is a charm! Went inside, they said 20 minutes (I read the reviews so knew 20 wasn't accurate). So I did my shopping, went and ate, came back an hour later through the drive through. Asked if I would circle around to the back of the line because it wasn't quite ready. I did and 20 minutes later it's filled! What a joke, guess I'm switching to Walgreens like the rest of their customers
