  I went to Dr. Wiese referred to by my primary for a routine pap smear and for ovarian cysts and possible endometriosis. For starters, he made me really uncomfortable during the pap smear and even commented on my body and how I was a "slim" one. That's extremely unprofessional. That alone can make someone not want to come back. On top of that it was a pretty strange appointment. Before the pap smear he has you sit in his office with him and talk to him to "get to know him". He talks about politics and shows you pictures of his family and even judged me on my piercings and dyed hair. He spoke about everything but my Gynecologic issues and why I was there. After the pap smear he brought me back into his office and told me "you're a bit swollen but everything is fine". He said "you're young and a woman, you'll be fine. Take some ibuprofen for the pain your cysts will go away". I was told that endometriosis is unmanageable and to just take otc pain killers. I was left speechless. A couple months after that appointment the pain was unbearable I was in and out of ers for months. Seeing no doctor around here would help me I was feeling hopeless. I reached out to a endometriosis expert and Gynecologic surgeon Laura Douglass at uchicago and she ordered one test. The test showed multiple ovarian cysts one being the size of a grapefruit. They were all endometriomas. Cysts caused by severe endometriosis. They also found internal bleeding. They had me in surgery within a week after the findings because of how severe it was. I was diagnosed with the worst stage (stage 4) endometriosis and the endometriosis larposcopy to remove the endo and cysts SAVED MY LIFE. Do NOT go to this gynecologist please save your time and go somewhere else. He disregarded me, disrespected me, and made me extremely uncomfortable and unheard. I have a chronic condition that is now managed but it could have been really bad if I didn't take matters into my own hands. I hope this helps another woman.

  I loved him! If I chose to have a second baby I pick him again in a heart beat. Great bedside manner and all around a funny guy.

  Dr. Wiese is great! I feel comfortable with him and he is down to earth. I highly recommended him as a doctor.
