Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

This has to be the most unfriendly pharmacy in town. It takes so little effort to smile and be pleasant.

I have been a regular customer for years and the staff there frequently reinforces my decision by the exemplary level of customer service. Drug prices are insane and my insurance is mediocre at best. They will take the time to check discount cards to find the best price possible for me and save me a substantial amount of money. Yesterday they saved me over $100 on some dermatology meds for my son. They saved me over $1000 on a single prescription a few years back. I cannot sing their praises enough.

This was very disappointing, I understand that it maybe a difficult work load on a day to day at the pharmacy. I was so nice and walked up to speak to the tech and all I did was ask 1 question and this lady snapped on me. Telling me no and being condescending and rude. I’m not sure what I did for a tech to be so nasty. When I call, the phones aren’t being answered at times which can be understood because they’re busy but I just need information so I can plan my days accordingly with my schedule to pickup meds which can be difficult. I wish i didn’t feel like I was inconveniencing people just asking questions related to their job.

I’ve never had a bad experience with a pharmacy until this location. The neglect that I received was disgusting and they’re lucky I wasn’t someone who could have died without this medication. I recently had back surgery and it was very important that a receive steroids to keep the swelling down. I went to fill my prescription and moments later was called and told that the hospital messed up the numbers on the prescription so they couldn’t fill it until they talked to the hospital and straightened it out. I told them I understood it wasn’t their fault and to have a good night. This was on a Friday so I had to wait until Monday to call back to check on what was happening. I had now had to go the whole weekend without the meds and was pretty frustrated with the situation, they told me they had called the hospital and no one answered. I called my doctor and he said no pharmacy had called (which Kroger had been telling me they tried multiple times Friday and Monday) but that they would call them and straighten it out. So I waited until Wednesday night and stopped by to talk to them in person only for them to literally lie straight to my face and say “oh we filled that Monday we just had no number on file to call” EVEN THOUGH THEY CALLED ME FRIDAY AND LOOKED ME UP BY MY NUMBER OVER THE PHONE ON MONDAY. So now the prescription is basically useless and I had an incredibly painful and stiff weekend all because someone at this pharmacy thought it would be fine to be neglectful and lazy and their very serious job. It’s one thing to mess up but then to try and turn it back around on ME and act like it was my fault for “not having a number on file” which is such a dumb and obvious lie. Please fill your prescription elsewhere, these employee clearly don’t think it’s important to do their literal job and then also think it’s fine to blame the poor customer who just wanted their meds after a painful and very serious surgery.
