- CCConstance CunAug 26, 20265.0I had a great experience at Meca with the help of Kaitlyn & Alisha.If there were more stars I would give more stars. I was feeling overwhelmed due to now having to wear progressive glasses. And they were a lot of options to choose from. Kaitlyn and Alisha worked as a patient team to assist me. They gave me their honest feedback with grace. Kaitlyn explained why certain glasses would not work with my face shape. As Kaitlyn when she was available would say yay or nay as the search continued. We finally found the pair and I felt as if those glasses were custom made for me. Thank you ladies for providing the reassurance needed as I began this new journey.

- FOFairly ObservantJul 21, 20261.0Once your vision insurance pays for the services of being fitted with contact lens and you complete the payment of copays and meeting deductibles for the visit, Optometrist businesses are required by governing insurance laws to release the correct prescription to you without them requiring you to buy your contact lens directly through their establishment on your behalf just so they can get kickbacks or build administrative fees into the price of the contacts. They have a habit of withholding contact lens prescriptions from patients, stating that they have to buy their prescription contact lens through their store. If the optometrist business withholds your contact lens prescription, report the incident to your vision insurance or the state’s Department of Insurance immediately to find the next steps you may need to take to obtain your contact lens prescription from this establishment considering they have a spoken rule to release your contact lens prescription AFTER you buy your contacts through their office. You can buy your prescribed contacts online yourself where they typically offer better prices and/or better rebates. I have also typically received a better quality. Also, depending on if you buy direct, you may also gain a better return policy to exchange the remainder of your contacts in the event the provided current prescription turns out to be inaccurate or in the event the contacts are expired or not of good quality.
