  Update - my experience with Home Instead Kokomo took a dramatic downward turn. My wife, who had dementia, was getting excellent care from HI, including outstanding work by her primary caregiver who was assigned to her five days a week, except for days when that caregiver was out or was needed temporarily elsewhere. Having someone with whom she had rapport was important to us and is important for dementia clients. Sadly, the Kokomo office went through major management changes and the new management decided to reduce the number of days we were assigned the caregiver we wanted. They decided managing their scheduling problems was more important than clients needs. Our request for returning to our original arrangement was met with indifference. We proceeded to seek a different, more caring company, and fortunately found that Cornerstone Caregiving was more than happy to support our desire to have a caregiver who was assigned to us as our primary caregiver. On top of that, Cornerstone is more affordable. The Home Instead franchise in Kokomo (run by Klipsch Senior Care) no longer puts clients first. It appears they are more interested in their bottom line. We were very disappointed. Prior review - This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of writing a review of Home Instead. The first was several years ago when I engaged them for my mother. They were wonderful then and are wonderful today. My mother loved the care and attention she received over a period of several years. She was treated like the princess she thought she was. Today, my wife is enjoying the excellent services of a skilled and trained caregiver who is wonderful. Their whole staff are very focused on doing as much as possible to help improve the lives of their clients. I have had experience with other companies and Home Instead is head and shoulders above their competitors. Well being and safety are more than just words to them. As many others have observed, Client Care Manager Diana is outstanding, a caring, highly experienced professional. As a retired business person in the auto industry, I was impressed but not surprised when I learned years ago that Home Instead was the recipient of a President’s Award for outstanding performance from J. D. Power who also does ratings for other businesses including automotive. Home Instead has maintained that rating for many years. It’s been easy to see why. Home Instead is very well managed, and is diligent in the selection process for their caregivers. The very few issues that came up during my mother’s care were handled quickly and effectively. It takes a high level of trust to pick someone to care for a loved one. My experience with Home Instead has shown they deserve my trust!

  Home Instead is the premier provider of home care in Kokomo and the only place I would allow to care for my loved one. In particular, I’ve had great experience with Diana Schrauben providing services for friends of mine as well as knowledge and advice to myself. She is professional, kind, and compassionate and exemplifies everything Home Instead stands for! Keep up the great work!

  Home Instead of Kokomo has been such an absolute blessing to our family the last several years! We were able to keep my mom with dementia home far longer than expected. Her bond with Mercedes her caregiver was so strong we continued to have her come to the assisted living with mom. Her kindness and care for our mother gave us peace of mind. Diana in the office is the very best! She works hard to make schedules work for everyone involved. Everyone at Home Instead has treated our family with dignity, compassion and great love.

  Diane came and met with my family, very professional and encouraging. We want Mama healthy, happy, and well looked after "At Home." Elise takes great care of Her and They watch her favorite sports....which is quite varied. Baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, the triple crown horse races....! Thank You Elise! Thank You too Diane!

  I very highly recommend Home Instead- Kokomo for Senior care for your loved one. The owner-operators and staff are excellent, caring and flexible!!! I could not be more happy with the safe, professional care my mom is receiving from her lovely caregivers. And owner/management is very patient and understanding of requests and my adjustments to schedules. I have a great peace of mind knowing mom is cared for when I cannot be there with her. Thank you Kim & Cary Clouser and staff!!
