  We had an insurance issue and the office manager sat with me and reworked and resubmitted the insurance claim. Spent 30+ minutes with us. Outstanding customer service

  exceptional customer service from the manager Jennifer! I went in for an annual eye exam and she helped right away, gave me recommendations on which glasses looked best. Will be coming back.

  Target optical is receiving a 1 star review for the following reason: On July 17th, I went to get an eye exam. The Dr. was very nice as was the staff on duty that day. After my visit is when things went very unprofessional. I found out that I needed YAG surgery. They were quick in getting the referral sent to an eye surgeon. I decided to get a second quote on pricing (I was paying a lot out of pocket) and available dates. I call TO to send a fax referral to Eskenazi Optical a few days later. Eskenazi sent me a message that the fax was not received. I call back to TO and asked to resend and gave them a number to fax the referral. Eskenazi called me that they only received the cover letter and she would call them and ask for the referral. In the meantime I also called to request it be sent again. This is when I was spoken to rudely by the person on the phone. Eskenazi has never received the fax. I decided to just go with the first surgeon. However on Saturday July 25th I had fell and hit my eye which resulted in a black eye. I call the surgeon and he stated I needed to return to TO and have the Dr check for trauma. On Wednesday July 29th I called at 9:00 am and my call went to voicemail. So I left a message concerning the importance of seeing the doctor. At 3:30 pm, I call and again got voicemail and left another message. I was believing my number was being ignored so I had a friend call a few minutes later and her call was answered. This is now Friday July 31st and I still have not received a call back two days later. A call was then placed to my surgeon who set me up an appointment to have his office look at my eye. A call to my insurance company was made so I could see if I would have to pay out of pocket to the surgeon since TO was already paid and I explained the situation. She said yes but I was welcome to file a grievance against Target Optical which is what has been done. Glenda davis

  Great customer service from both Jennifer and Ashley! Jennifer checked us in promptly and politely. Ashely helped us check out and was very patient and kind when healing my elderly mother. The optician is very kind and tells you what is going on throughout the appt. My mom is low vision so it can be frustrating at times for her just out in the world. She was very well taken care of. Highly recommend Southport Target optical
