Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Since CVS is no longer in our network, I started using Kroger as it is closest and makes the most sense. I've had nothing but bad experiences with this Kroger pharmacy. I went in on a Sunday and they were closed with a sign that read "we are out to lunch and will return at 1:30". So I decided to kill some time since that was only 20 minutes away. I came back at 1:30 and the lights were on but the gate was still closed. So I sat around until 2pm and they never opened. It wasn't until later that I found out they were closed for Easter. Which is fine, except nobody removed the sign that said they would be returning at 1:30 so I wasted an hour of my time. I went back the following day (Monday) and the line was ridiculously long. I understand that they are probably short staff so I had no problem waiting in line. I got an important phone call so I stepped out of line. When I returned, they wouldn't let me get back at the end of the line. They said that the person in front of me was the last customer that they would be serving. This was at 6:10 and the pharmacy didn't close until 7pm. I explained that I was already in line but they refused to serve me. You should probably say you close at 6pm since that's when you stop serving customers. What i terrible experience. I wasted a lot of time using this pharmacy and will be having my prescriptions filled somewhere else from now on.

The entire pharmacy staff is great. But we tried several pharmacies before we settled on this one and the old pharmacist Matt and Brandon were wonderful we have a special needs child with lots of complicated medicine and they always made sure that she had it that is no longer the case. Very disappointing

I came to this pharmacy today and yesterday. Yesterday i tried to drop off a prescription to fill that I had filled here a few weeks ago but the pharmacist told me that I had never had it filled there before. I told him that I did and he proceeded to get cocky with me and argue about it. Very arrogant and young. He said “it didn’t get filled at MY store”. Again, I said it had, but I wasn’t going to argue about it. I motioned for him to go to the register so that I could get one script that was ready. He got cocky with me again. I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT I AM 100% SURE THAT I HAD HAD THAT SCRIPT FILLED WHEN I FIRST STARTED GOING TO THAT PHARMACY A FEW WEEKS AGO!! Someone messed up and it was not me. So I had to call the doctor office to have it called in. Today I went back to pick it up. This time a woman came to the counter. The script was for diabetic test strips. She brought only one box (50) and I asked if she knew why They didn’t give me a 90 day supply? She told me that’s because it is the first time that I had received them at that pharmacy. I proceeded to tell her that I HAD received them there before and that the pharmacist won’t believe me. She interrupted me and she says, “I don’t care if you like that guy back there (the pharmacist) or not. I interrupted her and said “I did not say that, and You, DON’T put words into my mouth! She didn’t expect me to respond. I said I can’t prove it, but I 100% did get this prescription here a few weeks ago, right here. Her statement saying that she doesn’t care if I like the pharmacist or not tells me that when he saw me come to the counter, as i waited a minute or so, he told her about yesterday because all I said was that the pharmacist didn’t believe me. I never gave any idea that I “didn’t like him”. Date I was at the store July 22, 23, 2019. Marianne Hankemeier
