  Ariel was a life saver. She knew exactly what I needed when I was in a sticky situation while out of town, and she was beyond friendly and willing to help the entire time. 10/10 experience, I will always remember having a very positive experience here.

  TLDR: I rarely write reviews like this, but I promise you there is much better patient care out there. I have been going here for years without any issues, but recently ran into some trouble with my contacts. Dr Spalding gave me a new set of trial contacts, which still didn't work (no biggie, it happens). I went back and was made to feel like this was my fault and as if I was inconveniencing her for coming back for a third time. She said "I don't know what to tell you," which felt like a strange thing for a doctor to say to what felt like such a fixable issue. I went to another local optometrist for a second opinion and was met with the utmost care, and optimism that they could help me find a solution. I didn't feel like an inconvenience for asking questions. It took ONE TRIP to another eye doctor made me realize that my entire 3+ years with Target Optical had been nothing short of subpar. For the first time, I experienced a doctor who greeted me with a smile, talked me through the health of my eyes, actively listened to my concerns, explained why this sort of thing happens, and offered me a multitude of options for treatment. I even got to see photos of my eyes! I had MULTIPLE new trials the same day instead of waiting for a week. The appointment didn't feel rushed and I felt like a patient, not a number to get in/out of the door in five minutes. My issue ended up being a poor contact lens fit... pretty simple, but felt like the biggest medical anomaly at Target Optical. lol All of that to say, If you are looking for a doctor who has strong communication skills, professionalism, and genuinely cares about their patients wellbeing and satisfaction, I encourage you to look elsewhere.

  Chris was great! Dr Spalding was OK, got audibly annoyed with me when I couldn’t tell the difference between lenses during the exam. All other staff was very helpful!
