Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Kroger Pharmacy in Connersville is one of the most unprofessional pharmacies I have ever dealt with. The staff is rude, dismissive, and incredibly inconsiderate toward customers. Instead of treating people with basic respect, the pharmacist made me feel like an inconvenience and spoke in a way that was condescending and unprofessional. When you work in healthcare, basic courtesy and professionalism should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, that standard clearly isn’t being met here. This pharmacy seriously needs to address how their staff treats people. I will no longer be a customer of this pharmacy. If it would have let me give them zero stars I would have.

This pharmacy is trash, they are rude when you actually get them to answer the phone. If you don't like your job you should find a new one. I've called 8 times and someone picks the phone up and then hangs up so you can't even leave a voicemail.

This place just rated as negative stars. I been going here for almost 3 year now, and my husband was treated like garbage. He is disabled and can't walk or stand for very long, and we drove up to the pick up window. He got out to get his meds. There was no one else waiting and the parking lots for it were full or can't access. They told him to move our vehicle immediately or they won't give him his medicine, (which took forever on their end to get it filled and still messed it up), or they would call the cops on him. People IDLE there all the time to pick up stuff. Never been so disrespectful from a pharmacy in my life!

I am disabled and had parked in front of the pharmacy window so that I could be close enough to be able to make it there my wife and son were waiting in the truck and after I gave the attendant my info my bank card and my driver's license and then she demanded I move my truck immediately while she was holding all my personal info as hostage,or she would call the cop's! I can't believe how badly I was treated and I hope no one else has to go through that too!
