  I've had so many problems with them. They rarely return phone calls, the 1st one they sent to me openly admitted she was a heroin addict the 1st and only day, 2nd one demanded I feed her hot food and would otherwise hide and be on the phone, 3rd one was very neurotic and refused to use or be in the presence of any cleaning chemicals (water only), 4th was great for the 1 day, but didn't return. She had too many family commitments and fear of animals. I was warned against using this company by a friend. I wish I had listened. It has been a nightmare from the start.

  My experience working for Addus HomeCare was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The staff at the Rockford office were frequently unresponsive, especially when it came to returning calls about patient care, which is unacceptable in a field where communication is critical. There were also ongoing issues with payroll that caused unnecessary stress and raised serious concerns about accountability. What makes this even more frustrating is that my role was deeply personal—I was caring for both my grandmother and grandfather. In a situation that required reliability, compassion, and support, I was met with the opposite. It felt like there was a lack of urgency, organization, and respect not only for employees, but for the patients depending on care. I believe it’s important for others to be aware of these issues. Proper communication, ethical payroll practices, and professionalism should be the standard—especially in healthcare. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and it’s something that needs to be addressed so others don’t go through the same situation.

  I been here 4 years ever since they switched to Rockford there horrible they never find me clients so unprofessional never return your calls this is a agency that suppose to care for elderly people and they never answer the phone they take forever to get back to you literally the worst

  Poor quality of work. Worker must be told each and every little thing to be done. One cannot simply say "please clean the bathroom". You have to tell the worker: clean the mirror in b.r., clean the sink in b.r., clean the counter in b.r. clean the bathtub, clean the toilet, vacuum b.r. floor, then wash b.r. floor. If you don't, then it won't be done. Frequently workers are a no show, no call and the staff are very disorganized. The first time my dishes were washed, the worker left them greasy, and that included my fine bone china I received as a wedding present. When I caught the worker using a steel wool pad on my Royal Doulton, I realized why the gold work on them was disappearing. I have very few nice things left, and those I do have, I'd like to keep nice. Unfortunately this applies to four of the homecare agencies I tried in the Rockford area.
