  Chris was always a nice guy, and during COVID I had approximately $15,000 worth of work done on my front tooth. Later, I started having problems with that same front tooth. When I returned, Chris told me that since he had last seen me, I had lost approximately 30% of the bone around my front tooth. That was extremely concerning to hear. Then came another shock: I was told that repairing the problem could require approximately another $15,000 worth of treatment. But believe it or not, the money and the bone loss aren't even what upset me the most. The real circus was at the reception desk. I am a repeat patient and had paid cash for my previous visits, yet two people at the front desk carried on at me because they said I hadn't properly used their website to register my insurance information. Instead of simply helping me fix the problem, I felt like I was being talked down to and treated like I was stupid. By the time I finally got back to see Chris, my blood pressure was through the roof. What bothered me even more was that Chris allowed his staff to continue carrying on with me rather than stepping in and saying, essentially, this is my patient—let's get this straightened out. Then I saw another patient's review saying the receptionist had been rude and actually hung up on her when she tried to schedule an appointment. The response to that review caught my attention too. Instead of appearing to come personally from Chris, the patient was directed to an email address for an outside business service. That made the apology feel canned to me. Chris has always seemed like a nice guy, and I've been told he is an excellent dentist. My problem is that I watched the front-office staff treat the dentist who owns the practice like he was a child, and I didn't feel like he had control over his own staff. After spending approximately $15,000, being a repeat patient, paying cash for previous visits, then learning I had lost 30% of the bone around my front tooth and could be facing another $15,000, I certainly didn't expect to be treated this way by the front office. I haven't forgotten this experience, and I doubt I ever will.

  Dr. Couri and his team are amazing! I have extreme anxiety with any dental procedure. Both Dr. Couri and his team did a great job of explaining the procedure, what will happen during the procedure and answer any questions that I had. This really helped to put me at much more ease and he has a good sense of humor too which is always a win!

  Dr Couri is the nicest dentist I’ve ever been to. I have really bad dental anxiety which has resulted in bad teeth. He never makes me feel bad about it and is always kind and compassionate. He always explains options thoroughly and is great at what he does. I wish all dentists were like him.
