I ordered prescription glasses in July and was told that I would have them in 4 weeks as I did not order frames. I can't get a working phone number to call them and It is inconvenient for me to go into OakBrook to see if they are back. I have been waiting for over 4 weeks. I am not happy with this poor service. I did call a telephone number and was directed to a new number to help with my inquiry and was told the number is no longer in service. If I ever get my glasses back they will not be on my list for any new glasses in the future. Now I need to go into the store without knowing if my glasses are back.

Dr. Czuma was so thorough and helpful during his examination. The office staff were all professional and kind. I would recommend this location and Dr. Czuma.

Had the pleasure of visiting this location last week and I was very impressed! I came in for a new contacts prescription. The wait time was minimal. They took current insurance info as soon as I entered and then I was immediately taken directly back to get assessments of vision and eye health. I was seen by Dr Masood who probably conducted the most comprehensive eye exam I've ever received. She evaluated my current contacts, my dry eyes, my risk of glaucoma. I had mentioned that while my vision with my current prescription was clear, I sometimes felt eye strain at the end of the day. She explained how eye comfort is always a shared goal with clear vision. So she slightly readjusted my prescription to maximize vision clarity and comfort. I am very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend this practice and specifically this physician!

I purchased a pair of glasses from LensCrafters and, based on the recommendation of their staff, upgraded to the premium anti-reflective and blue light lens coatings. I also followed the care instructions exactly as provided by LensCrafters, using only the cleaning solution and microfiber cloths they supplied. After only about a year, the lens coating began peeling and chipping. The damage has continued to worsen and now significantly interferes with my vision. Given the additional cost of these premium coatings and the fact that the lenses were properly cared for, I do not believe this represents normal wear and tear. When I returned to the store seeking assistance, I was told by the team leader Dominique that "there was nothing they could do" and that this type of damage was simply "normal wear and tear." I was told, "this is why you get an annual eye exam, to buy new glasses every year." While this is likely LensCrafters business model, I doubt the company wants their associates telling this to patients, especially if they're touting themselves as a healthcare company. The only solution offered was to purchase replacement lenses at a price that exceeded what I originally paid for the original lenses. I was especially disappointed by the dismissive attitude I encountered. Rather than trying to help or explore possible solutions, my concerns were brushed aside, and the interaction felt unprofessional. I chose LensCrafters because I expected quality products backed by quality customer service. Instead, I was left with premium lenses that failed prematurely and no meaningful effort to stand behind the product. I hope someone from LensCrafters' corporate customer service will review this situation and provide a reasonable resolution. Until then, I cannot recommend LensCrafters and will be taking my business elsewhere for future eyewear purchases.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
