- HBHilary BrownFeb 21, 20221.0My aid from Addus came regularly for the first couple of weeks. Then the visits were spotty, even though I still needed them to come. They would show up for an hour or so, maybe take out the trash, then sit down and talk on the phone or even fall asleep before getting up and telling me they had to pick their grandkid up from school. I never got my full hours. I've been a client for nearly a year and a few weeks ago I complained about my aid trying to get me to allow her to claim me as a dependent on her taxes (tax fraud and a felony) and asking to borrow money. Addus said they would send someone else. They haven't sent anyone since then, though they called a few times saying someone was coming. My phone calls to them go unanswered and unreturned. I've been completely abandoned by them, stuck in bed with no way to clean my home, take my garbage out, or do my laundry while I get sicker. Addus doesn't care. Don't use them for yourself or your loved ones. I wouldn't even give a single star if that were possible.
