I've been a patient of Dell Smith for almost 10 years and I can’t imagine going to anyone else for my hearing aid needs. His philosophy is that he wants his patients to hear to the best of their ability and for them to be highly satisfied with his services. That is what I’ve experienced in every interaction I’ve had with him.
At my annual hearing checkups my hearing is tested with headphones on for frequency and volume. With hearing aids in he tests real world hearing situations by checking word recognition. He takes the time to explain results, answer questions, has offered advice to improve situational hearing and word recognition. Semi-annually he cleans my aids, checks to ensure they are functioning properly and they are working for me.
Dell is highly customer focused, with the patient’s satisfaction being key. He truly takes the time to know his patients and our needs. At every appointment he always asks how I’m hearing, if I’ve noticed changes or problems with sounds or people’s voices. During one of my hearing tests Dell noted a significant difference from prior tests and referred me to my ENT who ordered a specific test which verified no abnormality in my hearing canal. When I’ve had issues that require repair or adjustments between appointments I’ve been seen within a day or two, if he can make the repair within the office he does (as he’s done on occasion for me) if not they are sent to the factory for repair.
Dell is courteous, professional and friendly. He is not a high-pressure salesman, he presents the facts and lets you decide. In my almost 20 years of wearing hearing aids, seeing many audiologists and hearing instrument specialists, Dell is by far the best for the reasons noted above. I’d give him a 6 star review if I could.
