  If you are not from the Decatur area or have ever used another pharmacy, they most likely will refuse to fill your prescriptions. I recently moved to Decatur and was simply trying to establish a pharmacy closer to my new home. Instead, I was treated like a problem from the beginning. Last month, they refused to fill my prescription until I had my doctor resend it with my updated address, despite explaining that I had just moved. I also had to jump through ridiculous hoops to get birth control filled from a paper prescription. The level of suspicion over routine prescriptions was bizarre. This month, I was leaving for a trip and my doctor sent my prescription in early at my request as I was going to & did run out of my medication. The pharmacy decided not to fill it but never bothered to call or notify me. I called THEM and was specifically told they could fill it and it would be ready that afternoon. I arrived around 5:30 PM after work, only for the pharmacist to tell me he would not be my pharmacist, this would not be my pharmacy, and he would not fill my prescriptions because I had been “bouncing around pharmacies and towns.” For context: I moved. My previous pharmacy is 45 minutes to an hour away. I also tried another pharmacy in Decatur that didn’t accept my insurance so I thought I’d switch to this one. And because my medication is Adderall, shortages and backorders have occasionally required me, at my doctor’s direction, to call other pharmacies to find one that has it in stock. Apparently that was enough for this pharmacist to make his own assumptions. If you don’t want my business, that’s perfectly fine. But have the professionalism to tell me BEFORE 5:00 PM, rather than having an employee tell me my prescription will be ready and waiting until I arrive to announce that you refuse to fill any of my prescriptions. By then, my doctor’s office was closed and I won’t have my medication for another day. The lack of communication, contradictory information, and condescending treatment were completely unacceptable. I was looking for a reliable local pharmacy. They made it abundantly clear this isn’t one.

  Update 12/13/21 Update 12/13/12 what a mess it has been. If I only has the time to update more often. Pharmacy manager A.C. refused to fill meds on a Sunday night because she did not have time to count . I explain to her that I am leaving town before the pharmacy opens and she told me I would have to change my plans. I asked for her managers contact information and was given 1800 kroger. I'm sure she think I have forgotten but nope just busy. It's an excuse every single time you go. The employees minus a couple of the really nice techs are always rude. The younger gentleman with the hats on all the time is the rudest person I have ever experienced in the customer service industry. We have no switched to a local pharmacy that delivers for free . My scripts are cheaper and the staff is amazing . So long Kroger, it won't take much longer until the store is out of business. Update 5/10/21 Scripts called in and another excuse as to why they cannot be filled today. We were now told the scripts are in central? and will the pharmacy is unable to fill them until tomorrow. Every single time it is always something, some reason,, some excuse,, etc.. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.. Customer service is extremely disappointing. Scripts are never ever ready. Then if you have to call and check it is rude attitude from the tech to the pharmacist. I am an extremely unhappy customer and will be shopping other pharmacies to find one that will care about its customers and PATIENTS. I could go on and on with my experiences but I always try to pass it off and hope for a better experience next time but I cannot anymore. Even if you call and are told they will be ready be prepared to wait an hour sometimes. Absolutely ridiculous and mismanaged. Kroger please fix this and bring back the Kroger that we all loved a few years ago. I have been given other patients medication. The prices are never right. It's just always something and it use to be the BEST. Such a shame.

  Script called in at 8am yet they always "just got it" when I arrive at 4-5pm... and oh god why so slow you will stand there in line for 20 mins and be told it now will be 30 mins for them to get it ready....
